Employee Spotlight 🌟 Learn what makes the staff at Pasco High School world-class! Meet Kristin Roberts, Assistant Principal at PHS. "Kristin has a heart of gold and many do not see the great things she does in her time outside of work. For the past 3 years, during the summer, Kristin has prepared meals and taken time to visit many of our homeless population in the downtown Tampa area. She prepares each meal so that she can distribute individual meals and cold water to people in need without judgment or bias. Kristin has become known to many of the 'residents' in the downtown area and they anticipate and look forward to her arrival every summer. She shares a mutual respect with them, remembers their personal stories, and appreciates that they all have their own unique personalities. She has always worked to meet the needs of her students both as a counselor and now as an Assistant Principal, but she also recognizes the needs in our community and spends hours working to meet those needs, as well." 🌟Employee Spotlight🌟 Learn what makes the staff at Gulf High School world-class! Meet John Ferriolo, Plant Manager at GHS. "Mr. Ferriolo has served here for 7 years after being in the same role at Ridgewood. For the past 5 years, we have had many projects at Gulf and John has been my key partner for engineering and functionality. As we installed new tennis courts, and built a new stadium and athletics complex, John provided insight into the structures and their impact on our physical plant. Moreover, throughout the entire planning, construction, and moving in to our new school building, John was an invaluable person to have at the table and as a bridge between the school and the construction team. For our move-in, John oversaw the efforts of our staff, district staff who assisted us, and the teachers. He took great care with everyone's possessions and our district property not only guiding the work teams, but doing a great deal of it himself over dozens of additional hours. John is the epitome of "I don't ask others to do what I wouldn't do myself." Now in the warranty phase, he is an eagle eye for anything that must be addressed. He leads his day and evening crews to be their best. Because of Mr. Ferriolo, we are a better Gulf High School. I am grateful every day for his leadership." Way to go, John!
