A #CustomeredPowered grid that leverages #VPPs offers an economic solution to maintain grid stability throughout the #EnergyTransition. With mounting warnings on grid reliability and increasing frequency of real challenges, the need is greater than ever. Ben Pickard and I lay out the rationale for action and highlight need for us to work together to deliver this future. Would love to hear your thoughts below or at vpps@cpowerenergymanagment.com.
Explore why the way our power grid has run for decades no longer provides sufficient flexibility, in a new whitepaper from CPower. Mathew Sachs and Ben Pickard dive into the challenges that collectively compromise the grid’s ability to reliably deliver electricity as energy users have come to expect – and present the best path forward to enable the energy transition. Learn how we can collectively ensure the flexibility the grid needs to transition to clean energy through distributed energy resources and virtual power plants 🎇 https://ow.ly/R4I750PUQeA #energytransition #DERs #customerpoweredgrid #VPPs

The American Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has streamlined the interconnection process between the nation’s respective #electricgrids. This will allow for greater timing and cost certainty to #interconnection customers while ensuring that new sources of power generation are treated fairly. The announcement includes sweeping reforms as well as increased financial commitments to interconnection customers. Currently, projects face an average wait of up to five years to connect to the grid. This important reform will reduce this period and allow for quicker connections to the grid, and provide more reliable, resilient, and affordable electricity to all.
