There is no ‘right’ age for women in the workplace. Age 20-30: 'you’re too inexperienced for leadership' Age 30-40: 'you're planning for a family' Age 40-50: 'you’ve got too many family responsibilities' Age 50-60: 'you’re hitting the menopause' Women face bias in hiring or promotion at every phase of their career. As a result, millions of women are prevented from reaching the same heights as equally qualified men. And yet, the data is clear... When businesses empower a diverse leadership team, everybody wins.

Women, young people are active in taking up leadership roles and taking up spaces but most times our form of representation is not formally recognized and our voices are political disconnected and as such they are not counted in formal decision making processes. Let’s continue to say no to our voices being tokenized to be raised in the wrong rooms that only matter for the media, reports and not in the decision making table. LEAD TO ACTION: #PARTICIPATE in decision making spaces, Be #REPRESENTED in these spaces and #VOTE to make your voice count. #feministenaction #leadtoaction #womenempowerment #democracy #decisionmaking

After celebrating this Women's day, let's now ignite change! As a woman leader dedicated to women empowerment, I believe it's our collective responsibility to uplift and support the women around us. Here's how we can make a real difference: 1️⃣ Listen: Take the initiative to truly hear the voices of the women in our communities. Their stories, experiences, and perspectives matter. 2️⃣ Mental Health Check-In: Let's prioritize the mental well-being of the women around us. A simple check-in can make a world of difference. 3️⃣ Be Their Support: Offer a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on. Let's ensure they know they're never alone, especially when facing challenges. 4️⃣ Celebrate Every Achievement: From big milestones to small victories, let's celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments of the women in our lives. Every step forward is worth recognizing. 5️⃣ Self-Care Reminder: Encourage self-care and self-love. Remind them that it's okay to take a break, to prioritize themselves, and to recharge. Together, let's create a world where every woman feels valued, supported, and empowered. Happy Women's Day! #WomenEmpowerment #InternationalWomensDay #Leadership #vdart #siddahmed #ikarosglobal
