Companies are more capable of making the best decisions when they have the best information available. A dog site doesn't just impact the bottom line, it risks losing the valuable employees that make the business. “Make sure you have great leaders and people running your restaurants, and staffing should help itself,” Rothschild adds, though he admits there are areas of the country within smaller population pockets where companies need to be creative about recruiting and sometimes offer unusual incentives. “One prong is attracting people to get them to apply, and the other is taking really good care of them when they do decide to work for you.” #restaurants #leaders #people #locationintelligence https://lnkd.in/ezCd9DuA

I've been saying this for a while, but it's nice to see a former CEO of a national restaurant chain share my thoughts. With the struggle of finding capable applicants persisting, the best way to fill your leadership roles is by developing your current employees. #Darden #employeedevelopment #leadershipdevelopment #training #content #employeesatisfaction #schoox #careerpaths #restaurantmanagement

While tech and labor remain key industry concerns for restaurants, it's clear that the strategic approaches to leadership that lead to successful businesses have not changed, even though seemingly everything else has. The fundamentals of a good business are still customer and employee-centric. A great servant leader trusts their team and works effectively to build networks of support and trust that extend beyond the company to become a true example of service as we continue striving toward that goal here at Happy Joe's 🍕. #RestaurantLeadership #ServantLeadership #Culture

Minola Jac and I met through various panel discussions - fun interactions, fascinating conversations and many stories. Over a period of time, the discussions continued over calls and what clearly emerged was that both of us were interested in the human side of change work. We decided to convert this into a series of conversations (4 parts, to be precise) and will share one a week for the next four weeks. We hope you will join in the conversation through your comments and thoughts. Part 1 - Dining table to work table How do we get inspiration from around the dinner table to guide us in our conversations and work and equally how do we bring the intention around our workplace conversations into our dinner table interactions. What can we do to bridge these two worlds so they harness the wisdom of each other instead of keeping them separate? Listen on to find out more. https://lnkd.in/gUaKny6R #businessstorytelling #changemanagement #changework #conversations #communication #change #leadership

Build businesses together and be the best
Not surprising to see a business focused on production systems, people retention, above-living wages, and internal promotions sustaining and growing in 2024. “I don’t need you to be world class at making a hot dog,” Osanloo said of his managers. “What I need you to be world class at is how to lead people. You need to know how to have a tough conversation with someone who’s not performing. You need to know when to be empathetic and sympathetic versus a little more direct. Do you know how to schedule so that you have all the right people in the right places?” The north star in culinary school was to become a "Chef" when in reality the real winners become Great Leaders.

🌟 Relentless Consistency in Action! 🌟 Just left Midtown Cafe, Nashville, and I'm in awe. 😍 Interrupting the service pattern – a game changer. Every table greeted with warmth and a choice: the iconic Fried Green Tomatoes 🍅 or the mouthwatering Brussels Sprouts 🥦? 🤔 Their stories are pure magic, making the dining experience unforgettable. 🎩✨ Watching orders fly out the kitchen, it hit me: success is in the simple, done consistently. 💯 The secret sauce? It's not a 'should do,' it's a MUST. 🚀 Let's brainstorm how YOUR restaurant can create that same magic. 🍽️💰 🌐 mattrolfe.com ✉️ matt.rolfe@westshorehospitalitygroup.com 📞 647.212.4602 #leadership #coaching #leaders #hospitality #teams #leadershipcoaching #leadershipskills #leadershipcoach #leadershipquotes #leadershiptraining #womeninleadership #coachingtips #coachingemocional #healthcoaching #leadershipconference #leadership101 #leadershipacademy #leadershipteam #leadershipspeaker #leadersoftomorrow
