I might be late, but there's big news, White Sox fans! The team is seriously considering a new stadium in the South Loop that could transform the area into a whole new city neighborhood. The plan includes residences, commercial properties, and even a research center for the University of Illinois. The potential stadium could be the centerpiece of a sports and entertainment district featuring restaurants, hotels, and live music venues. Ald. Pat Dowell is optimistic, saying the new stadium could be a game-changer for the community, bringing economic growth and a vibrant atmosphere. However, it's early days, and financial details are still in the works. Critics worry about traffic and financing, but the Sox are eyeing a similar success story to Wrigleyville's transformation around Wrigley Field. If this plan comes to fruition, we can expect to see this new entertainment filled neighborhood around 2029 as that is when the White Sox current stadium lease expires. Exciting times ahead for the White Sox and South Loop! https://lnkd.in/gmaq9w5j #DePaulSMN #WhiteSox #MLB

What do the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and GTM have in common? To be successful, you need to execute the following: 1. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 🤝 working together is essential, from the offense to the defense to the special teams groups. When all are aligned, then you have an excellent opportunity to WIN! 2. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 📣 teamwork only truly works if everyone is openly communicating and the other people on the other parts of the teams understand what you are communicating - Talking and Listening (actively). 3. My absolute favorite day of the year by a country mile was November 9th. Not because it was our annual investor meeting, but because we had the opportunity to announce three BIG and extremely well deserved promotions. Thankfully no one saw me tear up on stage but yes, that happened. Andrew B. -- not to brag, but we knew you were special in 2017 when we hired you as our inaugural summer intern. Thank you for making us look super smart, thank you for not scratching your biotech investing itch and thank you David Selverian for the best intro I have ever received. Andrew - you have been the blueprint for much of what makes our talent programs and culture so special. We truly wouldn't be where we are today without you. On a personal note, I aspire to be more like you every day, more than you can ever know! Can't wait for your partner promotion one day. Let's keep climbing. Chase Goree -- thank you for sliding into my LinkedIn DMs 😘. Building off of the above, sitting 30 feet away from you every day keeps me incredibly honest. It's a privilege to work with someone who pushes you to be the best you can be. Your tenacity, focus, curiosity and thoughtfulness are going to (and already have) made you an unstoppable investor. I have seen you amp it up ever further in the short 6 days since your promotion and that both inspires and fires me up. You push myself and PeakSpan to be better investors. Truly a significant impact has already been made by your presence these past two years and we're just getting started. Can't wait for your partner promotion one day. Let's keep climbing. Justin Kelly -- I guess we have Mr. Goree to thank for how we met you (thanks again CG for another seismic impact). Hard to put into words the impact you have made on PeakSpan this past year. On the investment side, I continue to believe that you are amongst the most talented investors in market today, period. Your being on this team and emerging as a leader will no doubt positively alter the trajectory of the firm and that is exciting as hell. Putting aside anything having to do with investing, as any leader will attest, to find a brand new employee who shows up on day 1 already embodying all of the firm's core values is incredibly incredibly rare. Frankly, it's shocking how rapidly you have adapted to our culture and it has now gotten to the point where you are a top role model, leader, teacher and mentor. The work you do with our team does not go unnoticed and is making an outsized impact on our organization. Can't wait for your partner promotion one day. Let's keep climbing. We talk a lot about impact with our entrepreneurs. That is the perfect word to describe why these promotions are occurring and why we are so excited about the future. Andrew B., Chase Goree and Justin Kelly -- you continue to drive SO MUCH IMPACT. Let's keep climbing 💪
We are excited to announce the promotions of Justin Kelly, Andrew B. and Chase Goree! 🎉🎉🎉 These three have been invaluable assets to both the PeakSpan Team and our portfolio partners over the years and we could not be more thrilled by what the future holds for them. 🙌 Please join us in congratulating Justin (Vice President), Andrew (Senior Associate), and Chase (Senior Associate)!

Brad Pitt chose this brand. Elvis Presley loved them. Rockstars write songs about it. You don't have to be a biker to recognize Harley-Davidson - a brand synonymous with big, loud, and fast bikes. It's not just a machine; it's a legacy! Three secrets behind their global success: 1. The Harley Owners Group (HOG) It's much more than a club, it's about belonging and brotherhood. 2. Rallies And Events Rallies like Sturgis, Daytona, and global events attended by hundreds of thousands of riders - a confluence of stories and love for the bikes. 3. Education as Empowerment Harley-Davidson University & Riding Academy go beyond riding. They connect riders with the culture and story behind these machines. So this is how they did it and here's how you can do it for your brand as well: - Create your own community where customers feel they belong and can share their passions. - Build your brand around core values that resonate with your audience. - Host events that align with your brand & bring your community together. - Offer educational content with resources that enrich their appreciation of your product or service. - Use digital platforms to amplify your events' reach and engagement. Remember: It's not just about the product. It's about creating a story that connects people at an emotional level. In 2024, community building is more than a strategy. It's at the heart of lasting success. Your brand isn't just what you sell; it's the community you nurture and the stories you share. #CommunityBuilding #HarleyDavidson #BrandLegacy #brandgrowth

It's been an absolute pleasure, as well as an emotional rollercoaster watching Collingwood progress through the 2023 AFL season. This team are not only minor premiers, but are competing in the Toyota AFL Grand Final this Saturday in a game that will be watched by millions. It is a testament to their new coach, Craig McRae, who joined the side last season, to completely transform a team and club culture to what it is today. This leadership, and work ethic, is something we have been feeding off here at CRE & Co Recruitment. Craig went overseas in the off-season and kept seeing everyone take the escalators, "you get off the tube and there was this mighty stairwell that no one would use." “Everywhere I went I was consumed by the lack of the use of the stairs." “I kept seeing this and thought that most people in life want to take the easy option, and in our game, to rise up the ladder you need to take one step at a time." “So we have a ladder in the team room to represent that. We need to take one step at a time, so we have to take the stairs. We have done some stuff at the MCG, walked most of the steps here and this year we want to take the hard road, if there is an easy option, we will take the hard one." Take this mindset into your work week. - #CRECoRecruitment #culturerespectexcellence #collingwood #collingwoodfc #AFL #magpiearmy #recruitment #melbournerecruitment #recruitmentagency #melbournejobs #constructionjobs #tradejobs #inspiration #craigmcrae #takethestairs

Celebrating Teamwork and Triumph: Lessons from Lewis Hamilton's Latest Victory Just watched an amazing Grand Prix performance – what a tough race in the rain! 🌧️ The Grand Prix truly shows how real teamwork produces results. It’s not just down to the driver; it's everyone else that contributes, like the pit crew, engineers, strategists, and support staff. Together, they make success possible! 🏎️💨 Seeing Lewis Hamilton navigate these challenges with determination and skill is truly inspiring. His resilience and dedication remind us that with the right support and hard work, we can achieve greatness. Like they say, there is no "I" in team. To be successful, you need to surround yourself with the right people who know more than you. As I’ve always said, it’s not me that’s successful, it’s us – the organisation. Everyone’s contribution matters. Your win is our success, and your losses are our lessons that make us stronger. As Lewis Hamilton once said, "You can knock me down, but I get up twice as strong." Let's adopt this mindset in our sales team, pushing through challenges together and coming out stronger. 🌟

Shop Floor Comradery One of the things I miss most about regularly working in a plant is the comradery with those in the shops of past employers. The days passed more quickly because we had fun ribbing one another about things happening in the plant and during outside company activities. One example was a friend who played right field on the shop softball team. For those of you who do not know, that is generally the position assigned to the least talented player on the team. Most batters at that level are right-handed hitters, so most hits to the outfield go to left or center field. One evening, while playing, Kevin was patrolling right field for us. The batter hit a fly ball toward him. As Kevin positioned himself under the ball, it passed the end of his glove and hit the top of his head. The following day, one of our coworkers taped a softball on the top of his hard hat so that everyone could ask why. Kevin earned the Golden Boot Award, a nasty old rubber boot spray-painted gold. Everyone enjoyed the good-natured ribbing, including Kevin. It was one of many such stories where everyone was, at one time or another, the center of attention. What is your favorite similar shop story? #AutomotiveIndustry #LeanManufacturing #ManufacturingOperations #Manufacturing #HumanistManufacturing

Connecting CEO's to Build Power Peer Groups | Vistage Chair | Executive Coach and Mentor | Strategic, Compassionate Leader
Had the pleasure of watching the Pittsburgh Pirates play the Atlanta Braves on Monday at PNC Park⚾️. My son and I travel to different ballparks nearly every year and this was another on the list ✅. PNC Park is a phenomenal ballpark and worthy of its recent vote of being the #1 ballpark in the US. We got to experience a rain delay for about an hour, which I don't ever recall at a Padres game I attended. I was really impressed with the grounds crew and handling the tarp to cover the field. They executed the roll out and roll up efficiently and with great speed. They achieved their objective to keep the infield free of water, even ensuring the water on the tarp was evenly distributed onto the outfield grass. It got me thinking what does it take for over a dozen employees to work in unison to achieve their objective with the precision, speed and success that they did? The answer can only be they have a well thought out procedure, based on feedback and experience. They train their employees to that procedure and evaluate their performance to adjust future performance. This seems straightforward, but it's not simple to do it well. Just reference the many examples of "ballpark tarp fails" on the Internet to show what happens when they are not prepared. Looking in the mirror, ask yourself: * How many of the tasks that go on in your company are not proceduralized? * How many tasks do you expect your employees to get done correctly, but they haven't been properly training on? * How many tasks go on that you don't intentionally gather feedback to improve future performance? If you did proceduralize your tasks, trained to them and evaluated performance for improvement, how much better, more efficient and productive could your organization be? #ceoleadership #vistage #pittsburghpirates

You know those moments you get that make you sit back and pinch yourself? Having a retreat for Boyd Grants was one of those moments for me. This company has grown so much, and I am so thankful for each client who has got us to this point! Our leadership team is the best, and we are building operational efficiency, which will benefit those we get to work with! This journey...it takes my breath away! #grantpro #smallbusinessgrowth #teambuilding
Earlier this month, our leadership team embarked on a journey to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with the aim of elevating our operational efficiency. Given that we operate as a fully remote team, coming together in a mountain cabin for collaborative efforts on refining our policies, procedures, and processes not only promised to enhance the overall efficiency of our organization but also fostered valuable team cohesion.

Endurance and Excellence: The (Knicks &) Toth Event Staffing Spirit 🌟 At Toth Event Staffing, our core values are more than just words—they are the very essence of our daily operations and achievements. Tonight, as we celebrate the wins of the Knicks and Villanova squad, I'm reminded of these foundational qualities that parallel the virtues seen on the court. 1. Resourceful Service: Just as our staff tackles challenges head-on, solving problems before they reach our clients, our favorite teams displayed unmatched resourcefulness, turning potential setbacks into strategic advantages. 2. Professionalism: Our team’s professionalism mirrors that of the Knicks and Villanova players who, well-prepared and poised, compete with integrity and respect. 3. Calming Influence: Amid the high stakes of professional sports, like in our events, maintaining a calming presence is crucial. Both our staff and these athletes exemplify how staying composed can steer the course to victory. 4.Gracious Leadership: Leadership on and off the court is about lifting others up. Our leaders, some who have been with us since our inception in 2011, share the same spirit of mentorship and guidance that coaches instill in their teams. 5. Experience: Experience counts—whether it's hosting a seamless event or navigating a tight game. Our seasoned professionals and these veteran players both show the confidence that comes from years of practice and dedication. 6. Quality/Longevity/Endurance: We make decisions for the long haul, much like how a sports team builds for future seasons. Tonight's victories are just one example of enduring success achieved through commitment to quality. Celebrating not just the victories, but the enduring spirit and shared values that make them possible. Let’s go Knicks! Let’s go Villanova Squad! Cheers to Hartenstein, Mitchell Robinson, OG Anunoby, McBride, Precious, Hart, Divencenzo, and Jalen Brunson for their incredible performances and embodiment of these principles. #TothEventStaffing #TeamValues #Sportsmanship
