This unique program provided a hands-on introduction to engineering related careers through field trips, projects and more. They toured the facility, learned about machinery, and viewed an exciting lab simulation. We’ve recently manufactured four 8” barrels for a customer to complement an existing 8” Diamond America extruder. These spare barrels will reduce downtime, ensure that production stays on track and help the company achieve a consistent output rate for carbon pellet extrusion. Connect with one of our extrusion experts and learn how to keep your manufacturing operations running smoothly.

Community involvement is a key component of our company culture. Diamond America recently joined forces with local businesses to attend Senior Interview Day at Garfield High School in Akron, OH. 🏫 We conducted mock interviews, enhanced interview skills, supplied valuable feedback and mentorship. It was an honor to participate and provide guidance as students got ready to embark on their next chapter 🚀📖 #DiamondAmerica #SeniorInterviewDay #Leadership #MockInterviews #CareerReady #GarfieldHighSchool #CommunityInvolvement #CareerDevelopment

Meet Mike, our President 👋 Kicking off our first #EmployeeSpotlight series, read how his background has shaped a fulfilling career journey. ➡️ How many years have you worked at Diamond America? Diamond America was formed in 1999 and I have worked with the company since inception. ➡️ What accomplishment are you most proud? Though I wish our revenue growth could have been stronger and more consistent, I am proud of our company’s financial stability which has allowed us to serve our customers, our community, and most importantly, our employees. Our team has weathered some serious economic “blips” including the 2000/01 dot com crash, the 2007/08 financial crisis, and most recently the Covid pandemic. ➡️ What is one piece of advice you can provide to someone who is just starting out in their manufacturing career? Challenge yourself to continuously learn. Manufacturing is incredibly dynamic and constantly changing. Keeping up with this change is both exciting and rewarding. ➡️ Who has inspired you during your career journey? There are too many to mention. From customers to co-workers, there has been plenty of inspiration. Early in my career, however, the most motivation came from Larry Rosenbaum of Baxter Labs in Chicago. Larry was a research engineer who previously worked with my father. He constantly challenged me to “step out of my comfort zone”. #EmployeeSpotlight #MeettheTeam #LifeatDiamondAmerica
