DHR Celebrates Pride Month! DHR’s DEI Council hosted an insightful event featuring three inspiring panelists. Jim Fielding, President of Archer Gray co-lab group, YY Lee, Corporate Board Member, and Lucas F. Schleusener, Co-Founder & CEO of Out In National Security, shared their personal journeys and discussed LGBTQ+ experiences in the boardroom, executive offices, and public policy. Their stories inspire us all to create workplaces where everyone can thrive, regardless of their identity, revealing the power of being true to oneself. Jim Fielding (He/Him/His): Jim’s journey involves breaking barriers as an openly gay executive in the corporate world. He has championed LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion within his organization and beyond. His impact extends to fostering a more diverse and accepting boardroom environment where authenticity and representation matter. YY Lee (She/Her/Hers): As an advocate for LGBTQ+ visibility, she has influenced policies and practices that promote equality. Her story emphasizes the importance of intersectionality, as she brings her unique perspective as an Asian American woman to the boardroom. Luke Schleusener (He/Him/His): Luke has made waves in a traditionally conservative field. His journey involves challenging stereotypes and fostering a more inclusive environment. Through his leadership, Luke has shown that authenticity and professional success are not mutually exclusive. Thank you to our hosts, Renato Amador and C.J. "No matter who we are or whom we love, we all deserve the right to live out our lives genuinely, completely and honestly." - Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Today, HPGM celebrates and recognizes National Coming Out Day. On a day like today, we're proud of our corporate members actively doing the work and recognized in HRC's list of best places to work for LGBTQ+ equality, including Northwestern Mutual, Associated Bank, BMO, Kohl's, Rockwell Automation, and many more. Coming out is a personal choice and different for everyone. According to HRC, for those who identify as LGBTQ+ and as Latine Americans, the coming out process can be even more complex to navigate. We encourage all LGBTQ+ ERGs and companies to ask themselves, how are you supporting your LGBTQ+ employees beyond days like today and Pride Month? Below are several resources to learn more. Making a Positive Difference for Patients, Actively Advancing Health Equity, and Creating an Inclusive Culture at BMS | Focused on Patient Access, Market Access, Value, and Reimbursement | Board Member
Pride Month may be over, but the fight for inclusion and LGBTQ+ equality continues every single day. This movement, born from the Stonewall Riots – a courageous act of resistance against discrimination – reminds us that true inclusion requires constant effort. When LGBTQ+ employees can bring their full, authentic selves to work, everyone benefits - especially the patients whom we serve. Endpoints News recently celebrated Pride Month with its annual feature on LGBTQ+ industry leaders, including BMS's own Francisco Ramírez-Valle, MD, PhD, FAAD. Please join me in recognizing the impact that this year's recipients make for patients. See the full list at https://lnkd.in/emg2tbY4. Sadly, showing that the fight for inclusion is not over, one individual selected by Endpoints for recognition this year asked not to be included, citing safety concerns arising from the current climate that the LGBTQ+ community faces. Let's celebrate the vibrant diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, not just in June, but every day and acknowledge that the fight is not over. Together, we can create a more inclusive and successful world for everyone, but that will require sustained effort and focus. And to the industry leader who could not accept recognition for safety reasons, we support you. #Pride #Inclusion #LGBTQ+ #Authenticity #Allies

International Pride Day🌈 Today we celebrate International Pride Day, a date that reminds us of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equality. On this day, we honor the struggle and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to building a world where all people are free to be who they are, without fear of discrimination. At FIRST LATAM, we firmly believe that diversity makes us stronger and that every voice deserves to be heard. By incorporating a variety of opinions and perspectives, we not only open our minds but also enrich our experiences and learnings. Diversity helps us to live and let live, fostering an environment where respect and understanding are fundamental. We work daily to create an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all our employees, customers, and partners. This is a moment to reflect on how far we have come and how much we still have to do. It is an opportunity to educate ourselves, support our LGBTQ+ friends and colleagues, and continue advocating for human rights and equality. We hope that one day we truly give space to diversity, not just as a marketing idea, but as a reality in which all companies believe and commit to. 💪 Let’s continue working together to build a more inclusive and just future for everyone. 💪 #Pride2024 #LGBTQ #Diversity #Inclusion #Equality #PrideMonth #Pride

At Gaingels, we're passionate about fostering diversity and inclusion, especially in corporate leadership. Did you know that LGBTQ+ individuals represent less than 0.8% of Fortune 500 Boards and 1.2% of NASDAQ seats? Formed in June 2022, our partner, the Association of LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors is leading the charge to amplify LGBTQ+ voices in the boardroom. Their mission? To provide support, services, and networking opportunities for LGBTQ+ existing and aspiring Board Members. 🚀 Join Fabrice C Houdart for an enlightening conversation tomorrow with a webinar, where he'll explore vital questions: Why isn't there greater diversity on boards? What does it take to join one? Why should you consider a corporate board role? And what do corporate directors actually do? 💼 #LGBTQ+ #BoardDiversity #Inclusion https://lnkd.in/dNK8UP_M

As an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, Karina Robles Acosta was inspired to join FTI’s Pride Network because “any change, no matter how small, contributes to something greater.” Below, she shares what Pride Month means to her and why it’s so important for companies to have employee resource groups. What inspired you to get involved in FTI’s Pride Network? Karina: I’m one of five brothers and sisters, and one of them is gay. I have accompanied my brother through difficult situations he’s had to face due to his preferences. I have found that many people are insensitive and inflexible toward people who don’t share their ideas, and I think that should change. Since I believe that any change, no matter how small, contributes to something greater, I decided to get involved in FTI’s Pride Network. What does Pride Month mean to you? Karina: For me, Pride Month represents an opportunity to more actively support inclusion. It is an opportunity to promote empathy and respect for the thoughts and preferences of others, with the aim of making a change that can benefit us all as a society, and in particular, the LGBTQ+ community. Maybe I’m a dreamer, but I think empathy is fundamental in this process. I don’t think you need to understand or agree with everybody's opinions or feelings, but I do think everybody deserves respect. Why is it important for companies to have ERGs like the Pride Network? Karina: I think that having ERGs like the Pride Network helps people feel secure and supported at work. #TeamFTI #FTIPride #PrideMonth #Inclusion

Celebrating Love and Progress this Pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 As we celebrate Pride, we should remember that pride isn't just a single month—it's a lifelong commitment to honor and cherish love in all its forms. As business leaders, it's our responsibility to uphold inclusive environments year-round. Make inclusivity a core value in your leadership strategies. By creating supportive environments where every individual can thrive, we honor the history of the LGBTQ+ movement as we continue to advance and grow. We can build a future where everyone feels proud to be their authentic selves. While there's still progress to be made, the diverse and unique experiences within the community remind us that every identity is valid and deserving of recognition and support. Pride is a beautiful celebration of love and identity. Let’s use this month as a reminder to center and uplift voices in our companies, ensuring every individual feels valued and seen. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 #InclusiveBusiness #PrideInLeadership #ChampioningDiversity #PrideInBusiness #InclusiveLeadership #YearRoundPride #ProgressAndPride #LeadingWithLove #DiversityInBusiness #LeadershipMatters #SupportingLGBTQ #EqualityForAll #LeadingWithPride #DiverseLeadership #BusinessEquality #SupportQueerVoices

🌈 This Pride Month at Oliver Wyman, our teams are embracing the theme of Allyshifts. Allyshifts is about acknowledging that allyship isn't a destination but an ongoing journey of growth and understanding. We recognize that not everyone knows how to be an effective ally, and that's okay. That's why, this Pride Month, we're inviting you to join us in shifting up one notch on the allyship scale to help drive greater LGBTQ+ inclusion. How can we do this? Let’s start by acknowledging where we are, and commit to an action, big or small, that shifts our allyship to the next level. Whether that’s taking the first step to proactively learn more about the LGBTQ+ community, participating in your first LGBTQ+ event, mentoring an LGBTQ+ colleague, or using your voice to publically advocate for LGBTQ+ issues, every step towards greater LGBTQ+ inclusion counts. And let’s remember: allyship is a journey, and allyshifts is more than a Pride Month call to action. It is part of our wider Beyond The Rainbow initiative that is focused on fostering and embedding LGBTQ+ inclusion, not just in June, but every day of the year. Mixed news for workplace DEI from a recent U.S. employee survey by the Human Rights Campaign. On the encouraging side, 84% of LGBTQ+ workers are out to at least one person in their workplace. On the not-so-encouraging side, less than 70% are out to a supervisor, while less than half are out to a human resources representative. Of those who have hidden their identity in the workplace, 40% have done so out of fear of being stigmatized or experiencing violence. Diversity in workforce and leadership is a business imperative and reaps proven benefits for companies and their shareholders. Our coverage universe includes a group of DEI equity funds with investment criteria centered on corporate DEI policies. This includes the LGBTQ100 index, constructed from annual scoring of S&P 500 companies on equality metrics. Contact us to find out more about investing in equality.
