My OPT employment authorization was approved! 🎉 It means I am now approved to start working in the US once I graduate. Caveats: still have 90 days to find a job post start date, can only work for certain employers, not a path to a green card, etc. But still, a win! Most people get their OPT approved, as long as they file it on time. And some lawyers may say it's not a huge deal. But when you're an immigrant and you know that any part of the process can go wrong. Even the small wins feel like huge victories! #internationalstudent #lowincome #optapproved ************************************************ Follow how this low income Colombian becomes a Chief Sustainability Officer 😉🤗

My OPT arrived 60+ days after my Climate Corps fellowship began and I was not able to work until it arrived. You should totally celebrate this!

This is awesome news, Daniel!! Celebrating small wins is such a fundamental part of this transformational and unpredictable journey that is living abroad. At the end of the day, big wins are built upon the foundation of small wins (which are actually huge!) 🚀 Comparto tu felicidad y celebro contigo, recordando cómo fue cuando obtuve mi permiso de trabajo en Canadá. Congrats again, lo estás haciendo increíble!

Congratulations!🎉🎊 As a fellow immigrant (now permanent resident), I know how it feels to have your OPT process declined, mainly due to my school's negligence back then. This is definitely a win for you, and I wish you all the best!
