Ever heard of CI/CD? No worries, it's not as complicated as it sounds! **CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)** is like a magical helper for software developers. Here's why it's cool: ✅ **Faster Releases**: It makes our software go live faster by doing lots of the boring, error-prone stuff automatically. ✅ **Fewer Mistakes**: It helps us spot and fix mistakes early, so our software works better from the get-go. ✅ **Teamwork**: It lets a bunch of us work together on the same project without making a big mess. ✅ **Learning & Improving**: We can learn from our mistakes and make our software even cooler. Now, what do we need for CI/CD? 1️⃣ **Git**: It's like the magic book for keeping our code safe and organized. 2️⃣ **CI Tools**: Think of them as our code-checking robots. Some popular ones are Jenkins, Travis CI, and GitHub Actions. 3️⃣ **Deployment Tools**: They help put our software where people can use it. Docker and Kubernetes are like our delivery trucks. 4️⃣ **Watching Tools**: These tools keep an eye on our software in the real world, like a guardian angel. CI/CD is like turbocharging our coding superpowers. So, let's dive in and make coding easier, faster, and more fun! 💪👩💻👨💻 #CodingBeginner #TechSimplified #CI #CD #CodingMagic #softwaredevlopment

Delivery Director | SAP Practice at Hakkoda | Experienced in Building High-Performance Teams & Driving Data-Informed Enterprise Success
Don't neglect this crucial step in data projects! Neglecting basic code checks can lead to poor quality code. Teams that resist CI/CD may have developers with hero complexes who want praise for fixing the mess they made. Remember to prioritize code quality for the success of your project. #CodeQuality #CI/CD #DataProjects
Do you directly set up the CI/CD when you start a new project? I do, because it's much easier to do early on and expand it when needed. My experience before I started doing that: ❌ Imports and dependencies were all mixed up and hard to reproduce. ❌ Packaging is something I can take care of later. ❌ Issues always came up at the worst time. Sounds familiar? Since I made CI/CD a priority in my projects early on, it's much easier to deal with the above problems because I notice them when I make them. How do I do it? 💡 Code in a GitHub repository. 💡 Add a workflow that checks our your code. 💡 Add simple tests to the project and run the test in your workflow. This is a good starting point for any project. When it grows there will be additional issues to be taken care of but when they arise you will have a good foundation to do so. #software #cicd #devops #coding #engineering
