The Australian Investment Council has released a refreshed framework for the development of an Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) policy for private capital firms. The Council has worked with member firms and industry practitioners to develop the framework, which is intended to act as a ‘starting point’ for ESG policies. It will help guide the thinking that underpins the development of the principles embedded in ESG policies, and includes guidance on how to embed ESG considerations into investment frameworks and reporting processes.
