Id love to read your thoughts on this… I’ve always said “I have no expectations of anyone around me, ever.” This has confused a lot of people and some have even gotten angry with me behind close doors…”how could you not hold a standard for those around you? How could you not set expectations?” Think about it this way… If you give someone a gift on Christmas and they do not give you one back - are you annoyed? Angry? Dumbfounded? If so, you were giving with an expectation of something in return. When you don’t receive a gift in return and get mad about it, you’ve officially allowed someone else to control your state of being. I give the present without caring if I get one back or not. I did not give the present with the expectation of getting one. I gave the gift for one reason only - to give a gift. What do you think?
Great leadership model for even better outcomes and results.
love this!

4moSolid perspective. I think that a lot of people struggle with placing expectations of who they are on their vision of who someone "should be." I struggled with this for a long time. Now, my expectations and requirements of others in my life has shifted drastically. Your analogy with the gift is spot on! Keep doing big things, my man!👊🏽
