🎙️ CONGRESS 🎙️ ➡️ Cyber incident reports: extrapolating severity using neural networks Last friday, Our TCP consultant Hugo Rapior presented his work on the modelling of the severity in Cyber Risk using neural networks and Natural Language Processing (NLP) on incident descriptions at the #ECA2024 (European Congress of Actuaries) in Rome. The paper co-authored with Justin Kher and Olivier Lopez is available on the Detralytics website for everyone to read (🔗 Link in the comments section). In recent years, deep learning has shown remarkable results in identifying vulnerabilities using natural language processing (NLP). However, NLP's heavy computing demands are paving the way for quantum computing innovations. Researchers have created a Recurrent Quantum Embedding Neural Network (RQENN) for this purpose. RQENN significantly reduces memory consumption and enhances performance, using fewer qubits and achieving 15.7% higher accuracy in vulnerability detection compared to classic models.
