Here’s a tidbit from our last big release: You can now get to the recorder from the sidebar. Record right into the script as a new layer, or replace a selection just by clicking in the script. This may feel like a small improvement, and it is! But it put a key Descript features closer to hand — which we hope it’s one of those little things that makes your life easier.

It’s now way easier to change the scope of your edits when you’re adjusting a layer that spans multiple scenes. That’s kind of a mouthful — here’s an example: Say you want to change the color of your captions, you can now select whether you want that change to apply to your captions just in the current scene, or across all scenes.

Underlord can keep the active speaker in the center of your video 🗣️ This feature is still in beta, so it might be quirky (aren’t we all?). We’ve found it currently works best on vertical videos. Try it out, and let us know what you think: https://bit.ly/3zE1r1s

We snuck a bunch of quality of life improvements into our last big release. For example, captions now get their own menu, and when you click them, they apply to the whole composition by default ⚡
