Today, World Youth Skills Day 2024 is shining a spotlight on ensuring that young people have the skills to tackle today's challenges and shape a more peaceful tomorrow. Last week Minister Patrick O'Donovan TD and Taoiseach Simon Harris announced the 18 participants who will compete as Team Ireland at the 2024 World Skills event in September. World Skills 2024 gives an important platform to recognise the value of skills-based learning in Ireland, and to celebrate the incredible achievements of these young people as they begin their exciting journey to represent their country at this prestigious event.
