Thursday Excel Quick Tip: List all the days of the year down a column with just one formula -- select cell D2 and type =TEXT(SEQUENCE(366,1,"1/1/2024"),"m/d/yyyy") -- this immediately populates cells D2:D367. Date formats, like dd-mmm-yy,mmm-d-yy, mmmm-d-yyyy, and others work also. Entering =SEQUENCE(366,1,"1/1/2024") gives you 366 entries, but you may need to apply a date format to the cells.

1moVery useful example of DAFs! Great reminder to combine TEXT with SEQUENCE. SEQUENCE is quickly becoming my favorite DAF. For formulas like these that get used super-frequently, I like to save them and reuse them with a searchable “favorite formulas” macro. Just used it yesterday actually with a tricky LET-filled text extraction formula and it probably saved me an hour from scouring files or rebuilding it!
