Today we’re rolling out Slack lists to bring project and task management directly into Slack – so you can turn conversations into action, right in the flow of work! I’m so excited that now our customers will be able to track projects from start to finish, collaborate on specific tasks without losing context, and easily automate requests, right where they’re already working. It’s one more way we’re helping our customers drive work forward and achieve more with Slack 💪 https://lnkd.in/gfaXk_EM

Be great to follow this up with a video beginning with "Slack users have been telling us for some time that (insert desired outcome not yet achieved),.. and today I am delighted to announce that with Slack Lists we have answered the call. Here's how it works..."

I am loving lists so far, but is there a way to have it send reminders relative to the "due date" on a task? I have notificatons set to "all activity" but I haven't received any reminders about any tasks. (Also, is there a way to *default* to having notifications set to "all activity"?)

Slack Do you have any instructions on how to use it?

It would probably be a good idea to fix the frustrating human factors problems from the last "UX" upgrade before stuffing yet more features into SLACK.

But does it support scheduled replies in threads?

Love it! Slack list is revolutionary for project management. It’s a true game changer. Since discovering it several weeks ago I’ve converted RAID Logs, project Plans, and escalation logs to it. Most recently, I’ve created a very engaging and collaborative UAT log for gaps and issues discovered during testing of a complex application. I’ve been introducing it to my project team to convert their daily stand ups and meetings to it as well. You’d think I was a designated change champion for this tool the way I’ve been using it and introducing it to others.

Hi -- I have an unrelated feature request: We need easier ways to manage DMs, especially group DMs. In my company we use mainly Slack and rarely email. As such, people "start a thread" in Slack via group DMs to discuss things that don't fall within a channel. Most of these threads aren't worth converting into a channel either, since they're generally one-off discussions. However, this can make it very difficult to find these group DMs later -- you have to try searching for keywords and the people involved, which is very cumbersome and hard to remember. Also depending on the keywords, it could return a bunch of stuff from other public channels that you're not even in. Some example ideas: 1. Allow users to create and attach subjects/tags to either segments of a DM(s) chain or the entire conversation. These subjects/tags could then be returned in search. 2. Allow Canvas content to be returned in search -- users could add context into a conversation's Canvas, and rely on search to find the convo.
