Further to my earlier post about my recent driving experience - I am SO glad I understand more about my #sensory needs than I used to! When light touch leaves me dysregulated and struggling, I can apply firm pressure, grip or lift something a few times and quickly feel better. Without this regulating sensory input, I would probably spend hours feeling 'off' and stressed, and struggling to focus. It's called #stimming - this is just one way stims can be helpful. #SensoryProcessing
