Final touch to the product design and brand image repositioning achieved in the last years!

Immersive journey. Our city of Milan is full of initiatives, with hardly a week passing without something interesting to discover. Living here is easy; just step out the front door and explore. Many things happen across various sectors, and retail is certainly one of the most visible and accessible. The prestigious Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet continues to enhance its presence in Europe's top shopping destinations by opening owned stores, and Milan was a natural choice following Zurich, Munich, Amsterdam, and Hamburg. These spaces, which have a look and feel between a store and an apartment, are named AP House. They are rather large and exude refinement and warmth to offer an experience that becomes an emotion when purchasing a watch of this caliber. Just had a read of the following interesting report from Bain & Company. The use of #BigData & #AI in the #FashionIndustry was also the topic of my Master Thesis this year. The case of required investments in implemeting the emerging technologies could be challenging for some companies however the ones with deeper pockets might also not be getting the best #ROI out of it. Companies must understand that such technologies are not only source of more revenue and customer satisfaction but also #Sustainability at the highest level and thus #CompetitiveAdvantage. The key, in my opinion, is to have the absolute #ValueChain wide view for a solid investment case, in which the sum of advantage of these technologies, working in sync together, is far bigger than the combined impact of each individual one. If done right, any Fashion Company or Brand can become a trailblazer...

Steen & Strøm, the world's oldest continuously running department store, celebrated its strongest ever quarter, with record sales and footfall. Promenaden Management, an asset management platform specialising in luxury offices and retail wholly owned by MARK, has invested significantly in improving the store's design, layout and offering, which has made Steen & Strøm a destination for both local and overseas consumers. Commenting on the Q1 trading figures, David Wilkinson, Executive Director at Promenaden Management, said: “An influx of wealthy tourists from across the world, combined with Norway’s increasing ease with conspicuous consumption, is driving a local luxury boom. Steen & Strøm, still the world’s oldest running department store, has been a prime beneficiary, as evident in our latest trading figures.  “However, this has not simply been a case of rising tides raising all boats – we have invested significantly in improving our offering and continue to do so, with new tech and fashion-based offerings due to open later this year.”  Read more in Retail & Leisure International:
