Those, who saw it yesterday would relate ❤
Exceptional team management, strategical driving skills over the top, outstanding determination, and the will to be first ☝ Risk everything – your car, your position, your fans and ofcourse, your health. You drive first position knowing there are 3 TOP drivers (one of them is Sir Lewis Hamilton himself!) less than one second behind you 🏎🏎🏎 You know if you make a small mistake, you will regret it. You know if you will blink, you might jump into a bad dream 💔
The human spirit can do miracles. Some would say “you have to believe in yourself”. But in reality, when you find yourself in that situation, most of us will stop “believing” and simply give up. Its easier. Its less painful. The amount of stress this person in the picture bellow (Carlos Sainz) had experienced yesterday was unbelievable. Especially last rounds when he was losing time almost in every section, knowing that if he will not speed up, he will be over-taken.
As a pro driver, when asking your teammate in the radio “how am I doing?” and the reply says “we would appreciate if you can pick up speed”, you get into a huge amount of stress. Especially when you already at the lead. You think you already won but its not enough. In this case you rather pick up or walk away. Carlos chose the first option. He picked up knowing he is driving the car to its limits.
All for that amazing feeling when a Ferrari champagne touches your head and skin. Replacing all that sweat with sweet bubbly victory, while your country anthem plays in the background 👑
We all witnessed a great moment yesterday. The definition of pure happiness and determination. I’m lucky I was part of it – as a fan, but still. I forced myself in to it. Because damn, it was so beautiful...
To all the target chasers, have a wonderful day and dont stop picking up! 💪
Bravo red!❤
