Dubai's AI Ambitions: Dubai is making bold strides in #AI integration with the announcement of the AI Retreat 2024 happening on 11th June, and the appointment of Chief AI Officers in 22 government entities, announced today. 🚀 The AI Retreat is taking place on 11th June at the Museum of the Future and Emirates Towers, and is the first event under the Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI (DUB.AI). Organized by the Dubai Center for AI Applications and the National Program for AI, it will gather over 1,000 experts to discuss global and local AI challenges, opportunities, and strategies for accelerating AI adoption across sectors. I look forward to attending this insightful event next week! Adding to this momentum, today Dubai has appointed Chief AI Officers in key government entities. This move, approved by the Crown prince of #Dubai, aims to embed AI in government operations, supporting Dubai's ambition to become a global hub for AI development and deployment. The appointments align with the DUB.AI framework, which seeks to position Dubai at the forefront of AI governance and application, enhancing its standing in the Global AI Readiness Index. UAE was also the first country in the world to appoint a Minister of AI, back in 2017, appointed by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
