Chase Bank, A Perfect Example of Poor Customer Experience... I received an email from Chase Bank that they are closing one of their branches in Dallas Texas. I happened to have a safety deposit box with that branch which I pay an annual "rent" of $132.00. Chase is not only refusing to refund the pro-rated amount of the $132 dollars (which is $66 for 6 months). They didn't even bother to help me relocate my safety deposit box. I guess this really comes down to trust. As stated in the Gospel of Luke: "The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones. And the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones. If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth, who will trust you with true wealth?" This is why customer experience matters; I will be moving my investments out of Chase.

Very interesting especially regarding the ongoing debate between physical vs online presence and the overall effect on sales.

I am also still trying to figure this out 😀 and this is the question "As a Product Owner at Chase Bank, how would you reduce  the number of people who only pay the minimum amount  on their credit card bills in the USA, instead of paying off their actual spending?" --- My first thought was, "Does it hurt the bank when their customers only pay the minimum on their credit card bill? It seems like it's more of a problem for the customer than for the bank." 🤐 I'll share a brief answer in a later post and a more detailed one in my PM collection insights (available in the profile section).

This will not only create 3500 jobs but also aims to deepen community engagement and enhance consumer banking services, focusing on reaching underserved communities. Why? Deposits. Focusing on market coverage, new builds have contributed significantly in terms of deposit growth for JPM Chase (~85B deposit growth since 2017 from branches < 10 years old).
