8 months ago I would have never have imagined posting on Linked In about being Jewish, about antisemitism or Israel. And then mere days after 10/7, the worst massacre of Jews in 1 day since the Holocaust (and before Israel took any action) the shouting began in support of the bloodthirsty terrorists who raped, burned, butchered and beheaded more than 1200 people and proudly filmed it, they dragged bodies and body parts back as spoils of war to be ransomed and paraded around the cheering crowds, and somehow claiming the inhumanity as justified "resistance".... Before the smell of burning bodies could dissipate from Israel, Hamas propaganda and antisemetic tropes intending to demonize Israel resurfaced in the media, the UN, at protests and college campuses. And suddenly this shapeshifting bigotry no longer hid, it rose up to the surface with angry mobs surrounding Jewish students and blocking their access to campus while chanting calls for a violent uprising to annihilate the Jewish people by any means necessary. It rose to the surface as rocks were being hurled at Jewish businesses, as swastikas and other messages of hate were painted on city streets, monuments, and elementary and college campuses, as American and Israeli flags were burned by throngs of masked mobs in keffiyehs. I cannot be silent. I owe it to my grandparents whose families were wiped out in Auschwitz when so many were silent. I owe it to my children who have been raised to believe that Never Again should means something and that as Jews we have the right to exist and as Americans we ought to stand beside our democratic allies to fight terror. I owe it to the brave men and women of the Israeli Defense Forces who left families and careers behind and ran from all corners of the world for the privilege of defending Israel and who do so with love and compassion and in unprecedented ways to minimize civilian casualties (even though it undoubtedly puts them at greater risk). I owe it to members of the Jewish community around the world who are suffering immense pain every day since 10/7 and yet have miraculously come together in unparalleled ways to help one another, to love one another and to be a force for good in the world. I owe it to the 128 human beings still being held hostage in terror tunnels in Gaza, whose families cry out for their safe return every day for 228 days… Do not stay silent in face of evil. #BringThemHomeNow #StandUpToJewishHate

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. Please know that the overwhelming majority of people support the Jewish community and Israel.

Thank you for carrying the torch.  Today I am without words. Sometimes the day hits with such a disappointment from humans that  it overwhelms.

Thank you for adding you voice!

I liked this message but of course I don't like it especially as I see the pictures of someone I personally know in the montage. Many of us have taken on posting on LinkedIn in ways we had never imagined to counter some of the truly toxic untruths being put out there. Thank you Deborah Tyler

I know there are finer details in the current military action but just on principle there should not be any discussion of a cease fire until every hostage and suspected fatality in captivity is returned and accounted for. I also know that 21st century rules of war make this campaign very much a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' affair in social media. I feel for those in Gaza who truly do not support Hamas. They are stuck in a horrible position....but Hamas must be soundly defeated and unfortunately there will be civilians caught in the mess.

Dear Deborah Tyler, I myself was not active on LinkedIn at all (and it is the only social media I use). I just used it to connect with people I met in my professional life and follow some info. No posts at all, other than some on my member-only professional groups on LinkedIn. But COVID-19 pandemic arrived, and I thought that, if with just one of my posts someone would learn how to protect himself with a FFP2 face mask (even when the authorities at the beginning said "it is not necessary", I am a chemist, thus I know what I am talking about), or if I could fight misinformation with my scientist hat, that would already pay off my time on LinkedIn. When I thought I could start to relax... the invasion of #Ukraine 🇺🇦 arrived, and it was time to help too in many different ways to our 🇪🇺 next door neighbours. And, now, since October 2023, #Israel 🇮🇱 and the #Jewish ✡ community need help too, also, in many different ways. Fighting misinformation and certainly supporting all that Jewish people that usually are low-profile and silent, but decided to speak up (or even those too scared to speak up, at the end, I am on a safer position...). Even Rabbis publish on LinkedIn now... how not to help? #Neverforget #BringthemhomeNOW

This will not end till ALL of the Hostages are returned. But the cowards of Hamas will not return all of the hostages because once they do they will have no more bargaining power & Israel will Crush them ALL (Good) How can you negotiate with an entity that wants your destruction. Isreal Must destroy Hamas or this will continue to happen till they wipe out Isreal
