First day at Channel 5 - and what a lovely welcome surprise. Thank you ITN Rachel Corp FRSA & team - can’t wait to start start after I’ve been thoroughly inducted!

It was great to talk to Carrie Wootten for this podcast. She kept us on track despite me going off on random tangents! It’s a great series.

First day of decompression is going well (leisurely rise, a few eps of Love Island USA, made my favourite sweet potato frittata for lunch) though I felt compelled to take a break from it to mark on here the end of my time at Channel 4 - last working day was Friday. What a year - I’ve learnt so much. I can’t thank Louisa Compton enough for trusting me to launch the new news and current affairs strand UNTOLD. It has been a joy working with so many different Independent production companies to tell stories for 16-34s. I’m very proud of the work we started on the strand, supported by great colleagues in NCA commissioning and the wider department. I can rest for the next few weeks knowing my “baby” is in good hands with the brilliant Janine Thomas. Channel 5 news I’ll be coming in hard mid September! Can’t wait to work with my new team.
