Climate change is changing our agriculture landscape and therefore the cost to consume our favorite things- especially coffee, which is why the work we are doing around organic cultivation with climate resilient varietals like robusta coffee is more important than ever. Thanks WSJ for speaking with me about this important work!

Thanks Joan Horvath for selecting me to speak at the annual Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumni bruncheon last week! It was a wonderful event and got to have my favorite two supporters in the crowd :).

What a way to kick off AAPI month! Honored to be selected amongst such great brands and leaders in this group. It was a blast and have more respect than ever for those who pull off live TV every day!

This is an announcement I've been waiting to make ever since I hit my first wall when searching for organic, premium coffee supplies in Vietnam (spoiler - there were none). After spending the past 7 years proving that Vietnamese coffee, particularly robusta coffee, could have a place in specialty coffee - what we are proving today is much greater. Today we are proving that specialty robusta coffee trees can actually THRIVE in regenerative organic conditions, making specialty coffee more affordable than ever before. The amount of conversations, flights, rural road trips and conference calls to make this happen over the past 8 years means so much to validate the great leap of faith it took to start Copper Cow Coffee. It's been an education - not just for many, many partners we had to convince to make this happen, but also for myself. After this experience I am such a believer in both organic and certifications and how they are critical for more sustainable future for our agricultural systems. Thanks to our farmers who were willing to enter into this multi-year investment, thanks to our investment partners who have been willing to invest in the full organic supply chain to make this possible, and thanks to Emile Chin-Dickey and Mylinh B. are tirelessly working to get this across the finish line as we prepare to load our first organic certified SKU's into Whole Foods Market nationwide.

We are hiring a KEY marketing leader here at CCC. We've got some big growth in retail and are excited to invest in our brand identity on shelf (and the hearts and minds of your customers!). We are also sooooo excited about all the work we are doing in sustainability with Vietnamese farm and in the organic space, and are equally excited to bring on a marketing lead who shares that passion. When I left the World Bank to start Copper Cow Coffee, I know most people thought I was leaving my career in sustainable development. But it wasn't a departure, but a change in approach. And today, the reality that I pitched to hundreds of investors 6 years ago is here - Vietnam is now rising as a specialty coffee supplier in the US. But that was always just the first step for me on this marathon - to first convince people that a premium Vietnamese coffee was possible, so we could change the way coffee was grown and cultivated for the American market. The real aim for me has always been to bring real opportunity to Vietnam for economic and environmental change. And that's why I'm so proud of this article that more clearly bridges my old career and CCC because I finally have enough footing to make greater steps in socially and environmentally sustainable coffee practices. Just like it was for coffee, the more I learn about organic the more I want to know and push the limits. So take a peak inside my head in why I do what I do and where we are going next with CCC.
