My greatest leadership lessons come in the form of Fatherhood. My greatest title and responsibility is being Dad to my two children. #boydad#girldad#servantleadership
Happy Father’s Day Sir! … and THANK YOU for sharing the incredible amount of knowledge you did on the 33 GPC Annual OSDBU Pannel. For those of us who had just met you that day, what you just wrote was lived out truely. May GOD bless your children abundantly. May they do you proud :)
Tatham taking pride in Earning what he wants.
In a society full of entitled men with weak character traits…
It’s important to teach our children what it means to be DESERVANT of what they want.
Most whinge about where they are.
Think they are entitled to be somewhere better.
But aren’t willing to earn better.
Most men aren’t DESERVANT of the life they desire.
⚔️It’s my job as a father to lead my son to be an asset to society and not a liability.
⚔️It’s my job to lead my son to be a DESERVANT Man.
Comment “DESERVANT” below if you agree dads need to teach their kids to earn what they want 👇👇👇
Side note: the people in the shop thought it was great how enthusiastic Tatham was to earn his cards. They get it, so does my son.

A question parents often ask me is, "Should I make my children go to church?" I understand this tension, not wanting them to grow to dislike the church. To help you process this, I'll ask, "What do you make them do, and how does their faith journey fit into it?" We make them do chores, go to school, practice, do their homework, etc., because we believe in the importance of those things. #leadership#discipleship#parenting#ParentsAreLeaders

Some really thought-provoking ideas shared by this school Principal here. This has increasingly been the attitude of the parent body for about a decade now, the heat of which is almost becoming unbearable today. It is indeed a very sad state of affairs where parents feel the right to send emails expressing their 'frustration' and 'disappointment' against teachers or schools for anything and everything. Worse, they are entertained and acted upon with punitive measures extended against the teachers.
This is exactly what I had posted earlier this week while writing about my reflections on the movie, 'The Holdovers'. Yes, I know there are two sides of the story and yes, there have been episodes of glaring errors and serious lack of conduct on the part of many teachers too. So, what is the solution? One may conveniently argue that we are living in extraordinary times and children nowadays do not have the same mental, emotional, physical, social, cultural, economic faculties that we had during our school days. Yes, they need to be dealt with in a different manner, and it is extremely crucial to note that discipline, integrity and respect should not be compromised under any circumstances. Things will not be easier either, thanks to AI and technology as powerful tools (read, weapons) that are often misused and abused. So, what is the solution? I have observed how children pick up traits of disrespecting teachers and undermining their importance when they see their parents do the same thing (as embedded in the video clip from some TV soap by this Principal to support his stance). Naturally, these citizens of tomorrow start realising that a teacher's job is not worth their energy and time. So, what is the solution?
Of course, we don't have to realise the proverbial 'Spare the rod, spoil the child' philosophy. But it's high time some strong code of conduct needs to be drawn out. Paying the fee is not equivalent to taking things for granted that might give them the moral right to do and write and speak anything just because it's, more often than not, a mere trend. Recently, there was an episode where a furious parent wrote an angry email demanding her child be given the mark because the tuition teacher had enlightened her how the school teacher was being extra strict and unnecessarily penalising students. What audacity! So, now the tuition teachers and parents will dictate how the course and a particular curriculum ought to be taught?
There's an increasing 'burn out' among the teachers worldwide which is worrying and needs immediate addressing. It is equally worrying that no one wants to become a teacher anymore. There are some eye-opening articles published in the recent times that might help us understand where the society is failing to respect and truly value good teachers.

For former football player and coach Tony Dungy, living intentionally means looking for ways to impact those around him and using prayer to ask God how he can meet the needs of members of his community, family, and at work.
"And that's more than just casually meeting you and saying hello. Really getting to know you and understanding what your needs are. And is there a way that God can use me to help?"
Ask the Lord today to show you how to be impactful in the lives of the people around you.
