Because #DEI (Diversity, Equity/Equality, Inclusion) is also about accessibility for all, I am delighted to see that #Lisbon has been classified as the "Most Accessible City in Europe in 2023" in a study done by Iglu Cruises. The study "gathered data from TripAdvisor and Wheelmap for the total number of fully accessible hotels, restaurants, leisure activities and tourist attractions for each capital city in Europe. The results were then divided by 100,000 per the population of each town and ranked from most to least disability-friendly by each category's combined score." #tur4all #accessiblePortugal #accessibletravel #accessibletourism #Portugal #VisitPortugal #visitlisbon AITO - The Specialist Travel Association TUR4all, turismo accesible https://lnkd.in/emxXYEFA

@DESTINAREtl Travel & Lifestyle Collection eNews AUGUST 2023 is out and online. https://lnkd.in/g_9Tutw8 …” Hello Fellow Travelers, Are you ready for August? I know you have been focusing on your Summer departures, but with the season coming to an end, it is time to start planning (and focusing) on Fall and Festive Season bookings. That said, most of our partners are already seeing an uptick on requests for the upcoming months. Last year, several flights, hotels, and experiences provided by our clients did sell out quickly so the sooner you start planning the better - especially if we are talking about places in South America. DESTINARE is in full swing, getting ready to attend trade shows, hosting FAM Trips, doing sales calls, planning events for some of our clients, meeting prospective clients for our 2024 portfolio release, and much more. Who said we are always on vacation in this business?? On another note, we will be on the road a lot for the next couple of months showcasing our clients’ properties and services first hand, giving you an inside view of what they…” #DESTINARE #Luxury #Travel #Lifestyle #LuxuryTravel #LuxuryCruises #LuxuryHotels #GayTravel #LGBTQ #LeisureTravel. The tourist season is over. (At least until the holidays.) While everyone might have gone back to work or to school, now is the time for others to take a trip and to explore. The places that had major tourist lines all over the place (3 hours to get into the Vatican. Even nuns waited online.) They were all over the place. But now, as we move into the fall, some places are empty. The price is cheaper. The restaurants have the people who live in the neighborhood. Even transportation is cheaper. I have a few places on my list to visit. Take some time planning and you can take the trip you want without the crowd to expect. Sea. Travel. Enjoy. Alone. BTW, if you need assistance call a travel agent. Just ask and I can guide you on that topic. #travelagent #travelplanning #explore #seeing #learning #history #travel #travelandleisure #solo #lgbtq #education #alone https://lnkd.in/eiU3RiPZ

Founder / CEO @ Heartful | Purpose-Driven, Short-Term Accommodation Marketplace launching mid-2024. Social Impact Entrepreneur. Designer. Disability / Sustainability Advocate. Neurodivergent. 🏳️🌈🌿
FAT. It's a word society has long attached a devastatingly negative stigma to. But 38% of adult humans in the world today aged 18 or over are considered 'overweight'. And despite the fact that much of our late-stage capitalist society is built around and thrives on the constant shaming of those of us with bigger bodies, the community at large is starting to cotton on to the fact that physical size should NOT be seen as a core indicator of poor general health. The reality is quite the opposite. At Heartful, we believe those who are plus-sized should have exactly the same access to comfortable, sustainable short-term accommodation as everyone else. This is absolutely core to our commitment to being truly inclusive. American traveller Annette Richmond decided to tackle this issue head-on herself, with the establishment of her wildly successful travel blog, Fat Girls Travelling and 'Fat Camp' - group holidays around the world for women who proudly identify as fat. The article below is a fantastic summary of her journey so far. I highly recommend you give it a read. .............. What about you? Are you a fat traveller who is over dealing with the lack of accessible options for holidays? What more could the Australian and international travel sector be doing to cater to your needs? Please hit me up via DM or in the comments below with your thoughts 💛 #accessibletravel #fattravel #inclusivetravel #accessibility #shorttermrentals #shorttermaccommodation #inclusiveholidays #inclusion #travel #travelaustralia
