This diptych is the group show at Lichtundfire Gallery at 175 Rivington St. Artist's Lungs Fading I and II, 2018-2019, oil on canvas, 14" x 22" total size. The Painting, Artist’s Lungs Fading I and II, is a diptych. In the first painting, a visceral red, pink and white face is weighed down by the weight of large or enlarged, somewhat “unstill” and “out of control” lungs. In Artist's Lungs Fading II the face and lungs are as if disintegrating, obscured and fading. The work is about the artist's creative powers, and the worry of those creative powers fading, and also one's mortality, and how one begins to fade with time.

Even , before painting, hours of composition thought and preparation goes into the work. For example, the Linen is carefully prepared so it is super smooth and receptive to paint and then stretched over archival Board. In this particular painting, the artist hired a beautiful model to create a very special work of art:)

Day 8 Radar I present my original acrylic painting GOLDEN DESCENT on 36”x48” canvas. Certainly, if you'd like to rephrase it as a description of your painting, you can say: This painting depicts my exploration of fantasy, poetic and existential mysteries through the use of common gold-themed elements found in art, literature, science, and religious symbolism. It portrays golden light, sunlight, water, a high castle, and the beauty of a woman, all within the context of an ascent and descent, possibly symbolizing contemplation of our existence within the universe. The central theme is the profound recognition that beauty serves as one of the highest forms of human expression.
