Promoter and Designer of State-of-the-Art Transportation Systems that Maximize Passenger Throughput while Stimulating Economies and Preserving the Environment
Attention LinkedIn Network: I'm concerned about the lack of construction progress on the L.A. Union Station modernization that's supposed to be done by the Olympics. It has been over two years since I was last at L.A. Union Station, so if there has been some construction progress, please let me know. The problem is that since 2012 I have heard a lot of hype about the modernization of the station. As of January 2022, I've seen no progress. This is problematic because the Olympics are only four years away, and all of these transportation improvements (i.e. 28 transit projects by the 2028 Summer Olympics) rely on a modernized station at its core. #railroading #highspeedrail #civilengineering #transportationplanning #trafficengineering
