Join us for a free, one-hour NB Medical Webinar on Tuesday 12th March at 8 pm in collaboration with The Pituitary Foundation. We will cover why pituitary disease matters (including some quick revision of the so-called ‘master gland’) and then three different pituitary presentations in primary care. Alongside the interactive case presentations, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. Pituitary disease isn’t something we see every day in clinical practice, but with signs and symptoms that are often insidious, vague and, of course, vary depending on which area of the gland is affected, it can be a real challenge to pick up. Patients frequently face long delays in diagnosis, with a significant impact on their life expectancy and quality of life. This webinar will equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference to your patients with pituitary disease, as well as knowing when to suspect the diagnosis and what to do when you do! #FreeCPD #PrimaryCare #PituitaryDisease

In partnership with Boston Scientific, we participated in a poll of physicians who treat a variety of cardiovascular disease states to learn where real-world data could be particularly helpful. The poll results showed that medical management post-venous stenting is an area of interest among physicians, as clinical guidelines lack a clear consensus. Read our analysis on the trends in medical management following the placement of venous stents - including how social drivers of health factors like income and race play a role in prescription trends - and learn how this work is setting a foundation for future research in this area: https://tr.vet/3RUQ8JG #VeinStenting #VenousStent #CardiovascularDisease #DeepVeinThrombosis #PostThromboticSyndrome #PrescriptionTrends #MedicalData #HealthData #HealthTech #HealthInnovation #HealthcareData #ClinicalResearch #RWD #RealWorldData #SocialDriversOfHealth #SDOH #SocialDeterminantsOfHealth

Helping healthcare professionals explain the unexplainable with eye-catching animations (because sometimes words just don't cut it).
In Recognition of #WorldLupusDay: Unraveling the Complexity of SLE Lupus (SLE) is a multi-systemic autoimmune disease that can affect various parts of the body. Its complexity often presents challenges in both diagnosis, treatment and patient understanding of their disease. At BioMotion, we believe explainer videos can be a powerful tool for: Patients: Clear animations can visually depict the various ways SLE can manifest, empowering patients to become active participants in their care journey, while also helping potential carriers to identify the symptoms of SLE earlier, seeking medical treatment at an earlier stage. Doctors: visuals can aid in early diagnosis by showcasing the diverse symptoms and potential organ involvement. By simplifying complex medical concepts, explainer videos can foster better patient-doctor communication and ultimately, improve healthcare outcomes for those living with SLE. #MedicalAnimation #LupusAwareness #PatientEducation #Explainervideos #VideoMarketing

On this #RareDiseaseDay2024 we are raising awareness of Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) - a diagnosis that for many years has left patients with quality of life altering symptoms, with limited treatment options. PBC is an autoimmune disease in which small bile ducts within the liver become injured, inflamed and are eventually destroyed, leading to a build up of bile and ultimately liver cirrhosis, with many QoL altering symptoms along the way: mainly fatigue and deep under the skin itch. PBC affects mostly women, and it is estimated that roughly 65 out of every 100,000 women are living with the disease. However, while up until now there were limited treatment options, we might see a paradigm shift soon. Our CME program, led by Kris Kowdley, will cover the latest advancements in PBC published in a pivitol year for disease therapy. Watch a short introduction to the program, including an update on 2023, and what we can expect in 2024 at https://lnkd.in/e6VuFRca Be sure to sign up for content release alerts to be first in the know when new content is published. --- This program is made possible thanks to an independent educational grant from Ipsen. #rarediseaseday #rarediseaseday24 #primarybiliarycholangitis #PBC #autoimmunedisease #raredisease #rarediseaseawareness #liverdisease #continuingmedicaleducation #cme #independentmedicaleducation #ime #SpringerIME
