Last week, eminent technologists and engineers from global Academies came together to share their insights on large, complex, high-investment engineering projects, identifying key challenges and solutions. Key challenges identified were: 🔗 Ensuring adequate buy-in 📐 Scoping and coordination 🔧 A reliable pipeline of skills and materials Successful approaches to these challenges included: 🎯 Clarity on project purpose and objectives 🛠️ Systems approach for effective governance and technical assurance 🌐 Culture of openness and collaboration 📚 Long-term investment in skills development Panellists included experts from Academies around the world, including Canadian Academy of Engineering | L’Académie canadienne du génie, Royal Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Engineering.
