Construction on a new housing development at Dyke Road is set to commence in 2026. This significant project will feature over 200 apartments, with planning permission for phase one expected to be submitted later this year. The development will also include communal open spaces, a creche, and a mix of cost-rental and social homes provided by Galway City Council. Following a detailed public engagement process, the draft Site Development Framework is now available on the Corrib Causeway website. Additionally, new cycleways, walkways, green spaces, and enhanced transport connections will be integrated into the plans. To keep the community informed, online information meetings and workshops will be conducted for public participation. Once the consultation phase concludes, a formal planning application will be submitted, with construction slated to begin in 2026. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development!
