A couple of weeks ago we hosted our first ever Customer Conference. This marks the evolution from thinking Digital, to thinking Customer. Bringing together the new, broader Customer team at our HQ in Shirebrook.
I kicked off the day highlighting the focuses of the day: Customer Centricity, Data Centricity, Connectivity alongside our 10 strategic objectives for the year ahead.
Then I handed over to my amazing SLT Barney Jones talking about our Social approach and newly created Frasers Creative Services team. Ben Koch showed the future of elevated product imagery. Shane Donnelly focused on data centricity, and how we plan to collect, activate and monetise our data.
Nicola Tibbs and Emily Hilditch shared their customer centric product and design approach and showcased the new SD app and incredible initial results. Richard Lallo outlined a new perspective on growing our customer base and elevating our marketing approach, and Nina Braham revealed details of the new SD Member proposition launching this year.
Big thanks to Sonia Gleeson from TikTok who gave some fantastic insights on the platform and how it can work to grow customer audiences. And also to Olympian Mark Foster who wrapped up the day with his inspirational story.
And of course no conference would be complete without the awards for our top performers.
My main reflections from the day? Firstly we've moved from bringing together a team and talking about a strategy and what we are going to do, to actually delivering. Secondly, we've got a hell of a lot in the pipeline still to come and the sky is the limit - we're really redefining retail. Thirdly, what an incredible team we have that are delivering this work every day.

Excited to share that our elevated SD app is now live and in the hands of our consumers - and the reaction has been amazing. The app itself is fantastic and the result of hard work and collaboration across a number of teams, partners and individuals.
But this is also an important milestone for us as a group, as it's the first significant digital product that we have launched into the UK market that has been built using customer-centric and product driven methodologies from start to finish - and you can see that in the execution.
We continue to transform our digital capabilities and approaches across the group. And now that we have the foundations in place, the speed at which we release value, and elevate our experiences, can increase significantly.
Well done to all involved. And so much more to come.

This time a week ago I was just finishing a two hour obstacle course. Soaking wet, covered in mud, but with a massive smile on my face. It was a lot of fun running the course not only with 50+ of the highest performers from the customer team, but also some of our key partners.
Frasers Festival was an incredible day, bringing together our teams and partners with panel talks and activations from the worlds best brands. But most importantly for me it set the scene for our forward ambition...

"We don't want you using AI for your reports"
We've had several private messages from teachers who've received emails from their leadership teams saying they shouldn't use AI for their reports this year.
Unpicking this a bit, we think it comes from a core misconception that AI reports 'aren't personal'. So, we've created this graphic to explain why this just isn't the case! In fact the resounding feedback we received from teachers last year was that AI not only sped up the process, but also helped improve the quality of the reports written! Not just quicker, but better.
