Today we celebrated the grand opening of Philadelphia Youth Basketball's Alan Horwitz "Sixth Man" Center, a 100,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility that will provide mentorship programs, growth, learning, and empowerment opportunities to our youth. The Sixth Man Center is a space where physical, intellectual, and emotional growth are nurtured and how we deliver life-changing opportunities and experiences to support our young people, starting today. Thank you Kenny Holdsman for bringing this idea to the table and Alan Horwitz for making it a reality with a lead donation of $5M. Hallee Adelman and I are proud to have contributed to this project and to be helping Philadelphia Youth Basketball further their mission of leveraging basketball to help today’s urban youth overcome the most urgent and systemic issues facing underserved communities. We can’t wait to see what this next generation accomplishes both on and off the court.
Great celebration! It feels like an accomplishment and also only the first inning - excited to see how much impact the center drives for decades to come
Congratulations!!!
Such an honor to see this come to fruition and help tell the story of this incredible project and the leaders who made it possible!
David Adelman love that you and Hallee supported a room dedicated to the support of girls in that facility. My two little ones started playing basketball the last few years. Not too long ago, a bunch of the parents organized a regular clinic run solely for the girls. What an incredible experience to see the role model dynamics of that coaching experience. A great confidence booster that has really changed their attitudes!
Congratulations Kenny Holdsman & Philadelphia Youth Basketball !!! Proud to be a supporter of this awesome organization!
Thank you for all of the help that you provide to Philadelphia Youth.
Great, Great Project...Thanks David Adelman & Kenny Holdsman and Alan Horwitz ....our kids deserve every resource we can afford them.
Great leadership! Congratulations on helping add another space in Philadelphia for growth, learning and empowerment.
