Harrods new beauty halls in Lakeside, Milton Keynes, Bristol, Edinburgh and more Harvey Nichols break-out beauty bazaar in Liverpool Boots UK new beauty hot spot in Battersea Power Station Not to mention Selfridges Beauty Hall of course, which had become the Topshop in terms of Oxford St pulling power. Filling the huge sad gap left by House of Fraser in regional cities. Beauty remains one of the most tactile and individual of purchases - with so many variables: skin tone, type, age, lifestyle, smell, touch, finish - it is *really* hard to buy online. Apart from some dtc superstars like SEPHORA, Trinny London and Il Makiage (though perhaps not luxury even if the online experience is very satisfying). Beauty craves IRL beauty customers - which is why to some extent recent high profile beauty ventures have not worked - ref FARFETCH recent beauty bow-out. Clothes shopping with friends? Kill me now.
