Both companies have collaborated on a prototype that has integrated a foundation model for robot grasping skills with the Intrinsic platform. Leveraging NVIDIA Isaac Sim, this robot grasping skill was trained entirely with synthetic data in a virtual environment. This workflow eliminates the need for hard-coding grippers to grasp objects in a specific manner. Using the foundation model and the simulator, the gripper and the grasping of a specific object can be verified in simulation before the skill is deployed in the real world. #NVIDIA Robotics and Intrinsic are working to scale AI solutions to the industrial automation space. ********** Follow Dave Griffith Follow Manufacturing Hub Network. #ai #automation #manufacturing #sponsored
The collaborations were one of the advances that impressed me at Automate. There was of course a lot of AI. Overall groups working together are pushing some of the largest advances that weโre seeing. What was most interesting for you?
Dave Griffith Great explanation on the use of generative Ai to pre-train a vision system using synthetic data! At #RealizeLive there was a trial lab where you could test this specific use case using NVIDIA's Omniverse and Isaac Sim, Siemens Digital Industries Software Tecnomatix Process Simulate, #IndustrialEdge with #AiInferenceServer app, and #TIAPortal with #PLCSIMAdvanced to pre-train a 100% 1:1 digital twin of a robotic cell. This validated and tested digital twin then gets deployed onto the 'real' system reducing onsite commissioning and training time ๐คฏ Btw, this trial lab was developed by none other than former Manufacturing Hub Network podcast guest Max Kirkpatrick ๐
Nividia moving so fast such great success
Great service!
