The hardware design is pretty unique. Imitating human morphology is considered a massive challenge in the field. While demonstrating 5 fingers pick-and-place in a sterile environment is a notable accomplishment, it may not be considered groundbreaking or particularly innovative. There are likely many examples of this type of technology. However, it remains an important aspect of automation and can greatly improve efficiency and accuracy in certain tasks.
