Ending Saturday deliveries and/or switching to less frequent weekday deliveries may sound harsh, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨 the volume of letters has reduced from 20 billion to 7 billion, that demands a rethink of the associated people, process and technology considerations necessary to make the business effective, cost-efficient, and focused on 21st century consumer needs. 👉 That's no different in customer contact and remote customer management. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙪𝙨 regarding trends in voice and non-voice interaction, channel & volume trends and the evolution of requirements, is fundamental to the operational models needed to support brands and their customers today and into the future. While intelligent automation/AI can be poorly deployed (DPD UK), the data can also tell us how effective it can be when done well in supporting customer self-serve, and in supporting colleagues where more complex engagement is necessary. It doesn't matter if the operation is inhouse or through a partner, the data is key to understanding the direction of the journey, and all that that implies, to be able to optimise customer brand experience to the benefit of the brand, customers, and remote contact support staff. #management #strategy #business
