Join us in celebrating Earth Day and our collaboration with Seattle Public Utilities! Together, we are working hard to protect Washington's precious water sources and improve conservation efforts. Whether it is the efforts of our co-op members on the farm or the 11 production facilities that we have around the Pacific Northwest, we are fully committed to doing our part in providing a sustainable future for generations to come. 🌍💧

Abundant rain is an essential part of living in the Pacific Northwest, and always has been. Our landscape and our communities are literally shaped by water, but its impact on our lives can sometimes be hard to see (beyond wet socks). That’s part of the reason why the my team developed The Power of Water – an interactive online StoryMap about our waterways, our drainage and wastewater infrastructure, and the communities that benefit from them. https://lnkd.in/gFmKwen5

How did an arid desert city become a leader in rainwater harvesting? Before the turn of the millennium, most people saw rainwater as a waste product rather than a resource. When a local expert starting cutting curbs in the 1990s to provide plants near the road with rainwater run off, the conversation about rainwater quickly changed in Tucson. So how did UArizona + Tucson become Green Infrastructure leaders? Check out this article from Arizona Environment to learn what UArizona researchers and Tucson city officials are doing to make better use of rainwater and to ensure the benefits of rainwater catchment programs are distributed equitably. Want to know why FIDO is the perfect technology for a project as ambitious as uniting partners around the replenishment of the Colorado River? 1) We provide critical insights. No other AI can find invisible underground water leaks and tell you their size, so you act faster on water loss (by fixing the biggest leaks first) and giving you knowledge to prevent future leaks. 2) We transparently and systematically verify and quantify the water benefits using a rigorous, standardised measure being developed by experts, Volumetric Water Benefit Accounting (VWBA). 3) We continue to innovate. As guardians now of vast quantities of high-quality water data we can co-pilot leak teams on their water replenishment efforts using GPT-4. It’s been unveiled at #WorldWaterTech in #London today, speak to us about #askFIDO. I’m here, follow me and FIDO Plus so you don’t miss a thing. #Innovation #WaterEquity #ClimateChange #GlobalCollaboration #SDG6 #WaterPositivite #WaterRestoration #WaterReplenishment #ColoradoRiverBasin #Water #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #askFIDO #NRW #Leakage #LeakDetection #GPT4

Healthy working and natural lands, like forests, improve water quality and quantity by filtering, slowing, and storing water as it moves through watersheds. Investing in this natural infrastructure is critical to ensuring the resilience of America’s water infrastructure. Today with the US Water Alliance we #ImagineADayWithoutWater and partner to build stronger links—from forest to faucet—through the Northeast Mid-Atlantic Forests and Water Partnership. Funded by a U.S. Forest Service Landscape Scale Restoration program grant, this partnership brings together a coalition of agencies and organizations for enhancing forest and water priorities across a 13-state footprint, from Maine to West Virginia and Ohio. Inaugural projects will be launched with #conservationdistricts in Ohio and Connecticut. Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/dmiEPKYP

The Business as usual scenario shows that countries that make up more than half of the world's population will experience high to extreme water stress situations by 2100 (with temperature increase of between 2.8°C to 4.6°C) We need solutions fast! 80years from now is not a long period of time. Also, invest in water (this might be financial advice, who knows 😂).
We have a lot of work to do! Let’s work together to help everyone have access to sustainable, clean water! Our lives depend on it! Orange County Water District GRA: Groundwater Resources Association of California

Marketing + Advertising Leader | Partnering with clients & maximizing teams to deliver strategic, impactful campaigns, marketing programs & business solutions
Thrilled to share the launch of Tough Love, The Shipyard's second of two creative initiatives made in partnership with The Axis Agency, the Office of Community Partnerships & Strategic Communications, and the California Department of Water Resources for The State of California's Save Our Water campaign. Additional thanks to our partners Summit Strategy Group, Lucas Public Affairs, T&T Public Relations, and Imprenta Communications Group for amplifying these important messages through earned media, owned channels, and key partnerships with local communities & public water authorities. -- California’s increasingly warmer and drier climate is expected to diminish water supply by up to 10% by 2040. The Governor’s critical call to action spurred the Save Our Water initiative to educate Californians about the permanency of the situation and the need for a long-term commitment, new behaviors, and a year-round approach to water conservation. Adding to the challenge, California residents are at different stages of understanding when it comes to our new water reality and the need to make water conservation a way of life. Through research we learned key themes that resonated with most Californians, including “water is too precious to waste”, “we’re in this together” and “every drop counts.” Additional testing uncovered a divide in how residents reacted to communications. While some preferred an emotional tone that made personal connections to the topic, others were looking to get straight to the point through water-savings tip education. A creative team’s dream, we used this understanding to develop an ecosystem of campaign work built around California’s love of water and need to protect it. Our first initiative, For The Love of Water, creates an emotional connection, positioning water as something precious that we all have a special relationship with. It communicates how water empowers the unique California way of life and how important it is to protect for future generations. https://lnkd.in/gBZbaS9Q Tough Love gets straight to the tips in a way that’s warm and funny without losing the seriousness of the message. Celebrities Danny Trejo & Niecy Nash harness their tough sides to deliver 'tough love' to Californians so they don’t contribute to water waste and learn some new ways to save along the way. https://lnkd.in/gHJUpmhd -- Sonya Harris Michelle Prater Lourdes Camarena, MPA Sureena Johl Margaret Mohr Bryan Byrd David Mering David Sonderman Valerie Vento Courtney Costamagna Lauren Dovedan Kerry Krasts Mauro Borges Erna Adelson (she/her) Eric Davis Liz Ross Brit Bartle Beth Shaini Leslie Capstraw Nick Rangel Carmen Lawrence Jazmine Herrera Francisco Letelier Michael Chase Jessyca Sheehan Phyllis Tucker

Partnerships are critical to helping create a #WaterPositiveFuture. Through collaboration with on-the-ground partners like @Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), @River Partners, @National Audubon Society, Colorado River Indian Tribes and others with deep knowledge of local challenges, communities and landscapes in water-stressed areas, we're supporting local water restoration projects that improve, better manage or protect freshwater resources. As part of our strategy to help build a water positive future, we’re working to restore more water than is consumed at P&G manufacturing sites in 18 water-stressed areas and restore more water than is consumed using P&G products in the high water-stressed metropolitan areas of Los Angeles and Mexico City. We are working to help conserve more than 150,000 acre-feet of water in Arizona. In partnership with Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), the Colorado River Indian Tribes, and the Arizona Department of Water Resources, this project represents the largest collaborative funding effort of its kind and will help to directly bolster declining water levels in Lake Mead, a crucial water source for the American Southwest. This project will secure long-term water supply benefits for the region, ensuring the sustainability of this vital resource for years to come. Additionally, this initiative will compensate the CRIT for the conservation of their Colorado River water rights, supporting their long-term endeavors to modernize irrigation systems and conserve additional water. New on our blog: The City of Austin recently adopted an ordinance expanding its water reuse and conservation systems. By using gray water for non-drinking water uses, the city may be able to reduce its water demand by 16 million gallons a day by 2040! Most cities in the state will face pressure from growing populations and climate impacts, which will force them to rethink water systems and strategies sooner or later. Austin’s ordinances and overall approach to water management can be a model for the rest of the state. https://lnkd.in/g5SKbhDV
