“That is what discipleship and sanctification are. Moment by moment and day by day you learn what it means to live as a child of God, a follower of Jesus, a Christian. It’s all about abiding in Christ for salvation and sanctification. Plus, serving in ministry and living on mission doesn’t change any of that. The power you’re going to need to effectively serve Jesus and his bride will ultimately come from abiding in him.” Scott Pace and Shane Pruitt, Calling Out the Called: Discipling Those Called to Ministry Leadership (Nashville, TN: B&H Publishing, 2022), 35. #discipleship #sanctification #calling #called #ministryleadership

The belief that we are indispensable is nonsense. To imagine that without a particular ministry, founder, director, or pastor the work of Jesus would be seriously impoverished is self-deception. People who worship Christian leaders do them as great a disservice as those who crucify them. The celebrity culture of modern evangelicalism hasn’t only hurt churches; it has also hurt pastors and other Christian leaders. It has created a subculture in which some, thinking they are “God’s man,” come to believe they are above scrutiny and accountability. Some who began as sincere servants wishing to honor Christ and love others end as privileged, entitled, self-absorbed, and unaccountable scoundrels who imagine they are somehow above the moral standards that apply to regular people. Often people in churches and ministries have flattered such men and fed their wrong thinking and behaviors instead of speaking the truth in love and confronting them about their sin. When that happens, everyone suffers. Randy Alcorn

In this video, I'm discussing the role of a pastor's wife in spiritual leadership. In addition to serving as an example to their spouse and children, #pastorswives are charged with disciple-making and evangelism. As a #pastoswife, your role is to use your gifts to serve others. You can do this by serving as a role model, teaching your children about #god, and evangelizing in your community. Through your service, you'll help to strengthen the pastor's ministry and build up the body of Christ. 💪🏾🛐 #faith #motivation #womeninministry #personalgrowth #beingwomeninministry #christianmotivation

Being a Christian-owned business means integrating one’s faith and values into every aspect of the business, from operations and decision-making to interactions with employees, customers, and the community. While this integration can be advantageous and provide a strong sense of purpose, it also presents unique challenges that require careful navigation and constant commitment. #Enneagram #FightTheGoodFight #PurposeDrivenBusiness
1 Timothy 6:11-12 is a powerful exhortation for Christians to live a life reflecting their faith. It emphasizes the importance of actively pursuing virtue, steadfastly maintaining faith, and remembering the eternal promises of Christianity. Paul's words encourage believers to stay committed to their faith and live in a way that honors their commitment to God. #Faith #Fight #VetBiz #PurposeDrivenBusiness #ChristianOwned

Here are the five(5) signs to recognize a Christian✨ Are you a Christian? Or can you recognize one? There's more to bearing Biblical's name There's more to going to church. And there's more to belonging to a Christian family. Are you truly a Christian? So how do you recognize Christians? Let's go through Mark 16 vs 15-20, you will see from Mark 16 vs 17-18, the signs Jesus said it will follow them that believe (Christians) Here are the five (5) signs mentioned; 1. They shall cast out devils in Jesus' name. 2. They shall speak in new tongues. 3. They shall take up serpents. 4. If they take any deadly things, it shall not hurt them 5. They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Now look through these. Are you a Christian? Or as someone who truly believes (Christians), are you exercising your rights? Think about that! ✔️Respost if this resonates with your spirit. Happy Sunday ✨ PS: Drop the topic for today's service and the major text you had if you truly attended the service. 📷: Me photobombing my fellowship members' picture😂 #sunday #wordsthatcomestoyou.

January 4, 2024 Church Attendance. The Bible is very clear about God’s expectation regarding “church attendance” – to use our modern terminology. Christ commissioned the establishment of churches, the Holy Spirit inscribed instructions about how they operate, and God requires that our regular gathering in church not be neglected. Actually, the Hebrews passage so often quoted in this regard tells us that gathering together at church ought to happen “all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (10:25). The requirement to “be in church” should intensify as the years roll by, not diminish. While there is much more to church than just showing up, it is important to realize that we must attend regularly. Regularly and consistently going to church is a fundamental Christian duty. I realize that in a consumer culture saying that anything about Christianity is “a duty” is foreign to most people. But if God requires it, then it is my obligation to attend, even if I don’t think they’ll miss me, or need me, or feed me the way I think they should. Obviously, you should find the best and most biblical church within a reasonable driving distance. But once you’ve found the best one available, consider it your Christian obligation to be there regularly, even after the newness or initial excitement wears off, and especially as the reasons for not going pile up. If God requires it, you can be sure Satan will tempt you to neglect it. But don’t. Make it your resolve to be there week after week as faithful children and obedient servants of the Lord of hosts (Mal.1:6). In Christ, Pastor Mike Fabarez

...Because in all of life, God calls Christians to function as "Disciplers" AKA Leaders (see Christ's Great Commission - Matt 28:18-20). In other words... ...double accountability touches all three divinely instituted spheres: Family, Church, AND Civil Society. Yet many Christians reject or neglect that we have any responsibility to The Civil Sphere... Some prominent church leaders even go as far as preaching against that those who do, calling them "sinful people in love with this world" if we dare to involve ourselves beyond church, house, or purely mercy ministries (aka, when we engage in public policy or culture). In America, which is definitionally a Self-Governing Constitutional Republic, EVERY citizen bears Familial, Spiritual, AND CIVIL/SOCIETAL responsibility. If we ignore ANY of these responsibilities, God will hold us doubly accountable for it. Heb 10:25: not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Personal contact with other Christians is not merely suggested by the Bible: it is commanded. A practical reason for this was given in the prior verse. Relationships with other believers are one way to be encouraged to live out the faith we proclaim. We are called on to "hold fast," through our own spiritual maturity. Growth in faith, however, is greatly influenced by having Christian examples around us. This is why the Great Commission was for the church to "make disciples," not merely to talk about Jesus (Matthew 28:18–20). Verse 24 commanded Christians to look for opportunities to inspire others to love and to good works.
