“You will always be most effective when you are leading, ministering, serving, teaching, and discipling others when you’re doing it out of the overflow of your own worship of Jesus and by abiding in him. Never, ever forget that.” Scott Pace and Shane Pruitt, Calling Out the Called: Discipling Those Called to Ministry Leadership (Nashville, TN: B&H Publishing, 2022), 42. #calling #called #ministryleadership #discipling #ministry

Strong biblical leadership is a must in today's society amongst our families, churches, associations, conventions and beyond. It should be absolutely clear that we must always stand in the light of scripture and not deviate from it. I have found over the years that when faced with situations of various degrees a lot of times it comes because of a failure to acknowledge what does the Word have to say about it. Most recently I have seen the failure of following through appropriately Matthew 18 when resolving conflict or issues. So remember when your faced with difficult situations turn to scripture and follow through with what is says. Be a biblical leader and remember somebody is always watching, you never know who you will encourage as a result of your obedience to the Word of God. #BiblicalLeadership

“The Regulative Principle states that everything we do in a corporate worship gathering must be clearly warranted in Scripture . . . Its point is that God tells us in his Word how we are to approach him in worship, and so it is our duty to search the Scriptures to see what God tells us to do in life and particularly in church.” Mark Dever & Paul Alexander, How to Build a Healthy Church: A Practical Guide for Deliberate Leadership (Wheaton, IL: Crossway, 2021), 95.

“Lay Catholic leaders in civil society are those Catholics who ultimately roll up their sleeves and serve, allowing God to work on each of them first, so they can then go out to accomplish great things for God’s greater glory.” From the book "Catholic Leadership for Civil Society" #WhyTHL #THL #THL2024

Last time we were challenged to consider how dominant the pastor-teacher has become in Christian leadership since the Reformation. Of the five gifts God has given to his Church [Ephesians 4:11] three are essentially absent. As a result, we have the church and the society we have today. So, let’s consider what we’re missing. The apostolic grace ignites action. It generates groundbreaking innovation. It leads change. It is consumed with whatever could expand the reach and impact of the Kingdom of God. The apostolic is risk-taking, not safety-centered. Its orientation is forward. Forward looking. Forward leaning. Forward moving. Teaching, on the other hand, is valuable in so much as it produces Christ-honoring Kingdom advance in individuals, in congregations, and in society. –Kirk Kirlin, Novo Mission’s Activated Team, from the book “Leadership Courage,” more at https://lnkd.in/gpzvYkW #leadership #courage #courageousleadership #leadershipcourage #Jesus #pastor #discipleship #ActivatedTeams #NovoMission

Ministers/Pastors/Leaders: Discipleship doesn't "just happen" as you go through life. It is an intentional act. If you don't have a plan or process (especially one you can articulate), then you're not making disciples. You are not fulfilling ministry. Need help with this, then let's talk.

Did you know? A recent study by CARA (Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate) found that more than ⅓ of young adult Catholics are involved with a community or a group through which they practice their faith in addition to or outside of Mass. The lived faith experiences of young adults — many who seek spiritual practice and leadership opportunities beyond the walls of the parish — is just one of the core topics we will explore during the 2024 Catholic Partnership Summit. #youngcatholicleaders #youngcatholics #expandingthetentchallenge
