Building the future at Relume 🚀 - Relume CTO - ex Canva/Jane St

Bootstrapping is better for founders and employees 🤝 Aligned Incentives: Founders and employees share a common goal for sustainable growth and success 🏆 Long-Term Focus: No pressure for rapid exits and hiring for the sake of a large head count 📈 Ownership: Fewer dilution rounds = larger share of the company’s equity What do you think?

Depending on the goals I tend to agree - but Relume do things properly from a comp and talent/ability perspective, in our experience most bootstrapped businesses can't afford to do anything properly (and so they don't, and then fail).

One more pro: less distractions and less heads involved. On the other hand, if you want to grow really big really fast, it's hard to do without cash at hand. Getting that cash in your hand quickly gives you a first-mover advantage and the ability to hire a great team and take over the market quickly.
