🥭 Imagine you could grow mango's in colder climates... 🥳 Well, good news, you can, almost. 👉🏽 Say hello to the pawpaw, the biggest fruit you can grow in temperate climates. It's really DELICIOUS! And relatively doable to grow. Why pay loads of money for exotic fruits if you can grow them local in your own garden or #foodforest? Do you grow your own fruits and nuts?

Nobody questions the importance of bee pollination, but few realize the breadth and variety of foods we have because of our little winged friends. Do you like ice cream? The dairy industry is dependent on alfalfa as a main food source for cows, which must be pollinated by Leafcutter Bees. We wouldn’t have Thanksgiving without the pollination of pumpkins and cranberries, which rely on honeybees and our native bees. Even our favorite spices, like vanilla and cardamom relies on bees. So when you get together for a nice home cooked meal, or are in the field eating some trail mix, think of and thank our bees! Picture: Honeybee & Wild Morning Glory (Calystegia macrostegia)

A divine fish with a wonderful dizzying aroma and taste. This beautiful queen of the aquatic world will give you a truly unforgettable taste pleasure. Fish soaked in aroma sea salt and a mixture of peppers just melts in your mouth. We are cooking hot smoked salmon! Smoking fish at home is a rather time-consuming process, and if you are told that it is easy, then such fish is not cooked correctly! Hot smoked salmon is served hot or chilled on a large flat plate or in portions on individual plates. This type of fish can be supplemented with a side dish in the form of fresh or pickled vegetables, it can also be served with a salad of fresh vegetables, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, and baked vegetables. To prepare hot smoked salmon, it is better to take sawdust from such trees as apple, plum, cherry, alder, oak, beech, aspen, walnut, and birch. Be careful and make sure that the sawdust is without bark, it contains tar. Corn cobs, poplar sawdust, and walnut shells are sometimes used for smoking on a barbecue. The set of spices in this recipe is not essential, you can put any spices that you like and that are suitable for fish dishes. Sometimes the fish is seasoned with such herbs as sage, rosemary, mint, and heather. Fish can be salted and smoked whole. Smoked salmon is pleasant to taste with fresh bread, smeared with butter under a bottle of semi-sweet white wine or a glass of grape juice. Enjoy! Bon Appetit!
