Collecting results can be a strange experience - anticipation, apprehension, nerves, excitement, stressful and many other emotions all at once. Good luck to all students waiting to collect their results tomorrow. You must remember that we are all proud of you and the effort you have put in. Just remember that whatever happens in terms of results, good or bad, that a piece of paper or a qualification doesn’t define you. If you don’t get the results that you wanted then this is not the end of the world. It may be a temporary set back but life has a way of working itself out. Sometimes you may get the results you wanted but a friend doesn’t and being mindful of their feelings can present it’s own challenges. It’s also ok to feel a little bit out of sorts regardless of whether your results are way better or way worse than you hoped for. GCSE results are in many ways the culmination of all those years of school. Good luck for your next steps! Just a reminder if you want to join the third PSG football academy in the UK and follow a Level 3 pathway at Lord Grey make sure you email: enquiries@lordgrey.org.uk to book your enrolment. #psgacademy #lordgrey #lordgreycan

Tuesday 12th December 2023 - Trent Bridge Cricket Ground - Great to have met & talked with my former University Lecturer Dr Stuart Jolly (between 2012-2014) & current Nottingham Trent University (NTU) Coaching & Sports Science students at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.Hopefully,it was a helpful meeting for the students & they learnt or picked up some valuable information/lessons to help them now & in future.Dr Stuart Jolly (NTU Principal Lecturer in Sports Science & Coaching) was ever calm but highly intelligent.Spoke to students about various issues to include; sports science topics, coach education,my time at university during undergraduate & postgraduate studies.Gave them some points to consider as they study at university whilst looking into the future and that it is important to work hard, meet deadlines, aim to do assignments early & have plenty of time to proof read and polish up the assignments before handing them in.Told them of the days I would sometimes spend 18–20 hours in the University library (This certainly helped me achieve a First class honours pass-70% plus) & it was nice to hear Dr Jolly say tell the current students I was an examplary student during my time at university. One students asked me about any challenges I have faced & how come I have stayed involved in cricket coaching when there is hardly any black cricket coaches around England & where he comes from in England there is no more or hardly black cricket coaches around.I replied to him stating “Yes,I have faced various challenges over the years but it is important to know what you do,to always be confident, believe in yourself, perseve despite hardships or challenges & that if you know what you do,no one can take it away from you.” Told the students that I last did my England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Level 2 Coaching course in the mid-late 2000s & it has taken me till now in 2023 to do my ECB Level 3 (Advanced Coaching Course) but there are other people who were no as involved as me in cricket (or less experienced than me) but were helped to do their ECB Level.Did tell them the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have now done well to now make recruitment onto coaching courses more fairer, diverse & inclusive. All the best to all the students & I told them whenever they need help I will be happy to assist at any time # Sharing Life Issues So That Others Can Do Better Or Reach Higher Levels # God Bless Everyone Till We Meet Again
Thank you so much to NTU sport science and coaching graduates Patrick Gada and Bethan Gammon for talking to the current students today at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club's Trent Bridge! Great insights into coaching topics to relate to the academic research, and super advice for students!

What are the Educational, Health, or Economic Benefits to these Players and their Families for that kids uncompensated participation in any additional “NON-SCHOLARSHIP” private third-party postseason football games that pay the Universities and the Conferences for the use of their free labor to put on these highly profitable Bowl events. The answer is ZERO! These additional 1-5 POSTSEASON games are also above the Players’ 12 game athletic scholarship agreement? Our Proposal offers Major Benefits in all three Categories to the Players and their Families! Scholarship Football Players are owed Hundreds of Millions of dollars from this year’s Media contract that uses these Players’ Name, Image, and Likeness NIL without any equitable financial consideration to the Players or their Families! This lost Money could have a major impact on these Players lives, the lives of their current and future family members for generations? We do not support, or agree with the House vs NCAA Settlement or the current covert attempts to extend and expand this Antitrust exploitation of our young (mostly minority) FB & BB Players' labor that the US Supreme Court and Federal District Court have recently struck down as illegal and implausible.
Our June 11 NADCA session, “House Case Impact: Blueprints for the Future of Division I,” features athletics directors and athletes, offering insights on the future of DI college sports as Power 4 schools work on new college athlete revenue-sharing plans and other D1 institutions seek to boost the educational mission of their programs. The college athletics landscape is continuing to change! I wanted to share what is happening right now...... The NCAA and Power 5 conferences have signed an agreement which paves the way for student-athletes to be paid through revenue sharing with each university. I thought this would have affected me as a former student-athlete. I'm interested to see what happens next over the coming months. Let me know your thoughts on these monumental changes in the comments 💭 📝 #collegeathletics #studentathletes #ncaa #pac12 #big12 #bigten #acc #sec
