This week, we celebrated International Women in Engineering Day! Our Employee Resource Group, Women at Danfoss STEM section organized a panel discussion and networking event focusing on career development in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). We were honored to host a discussion that included: Carley Maupin, Senior Specialist People Analytics, Danfoss; Nanna Aage Lundsgaard, Vice President, Head of RD&E Hydronics, Danfoss; Leire Chávarri Remiro, Data Scientist, Digital Services, Danfoss; and Laura Klitgaard, President of IDA, Danish Society of Engineers. The panel focused on the different career tracks we have in Danfoss, particularly specialist roles, project/program management, and people leaders. The panelists shared about the opportunities they’ve experienced to apply STEM skills across many functions, develop further skills on the job, and transition to different career roles. Although the number of women in STEM careers is growing, a significant gender gap persists across the globe. As an engineering company and one of the world’s top female-friendly workplaces, Danfoss is committed to addressing this gap. Increasing the representation of women and supporting their career development at all levels is a top priority. We continue to invest in initiatives for women candidates to find fulfilling careers in STEM and beyond at our many locations worldwide.
