2wThank you for sharing some of your insights into this topic. It's a challenging and complex journey. Focus on upstream and embodied carbon, energy consumption and resource usage is for good reason on many companies agenda at the moment. Being in the industrial automation business, I see the same challenge as you mention with materials. - The best solution in terms of sustainability is sometimes not competitive in terms of procurement price. - This will of course gradually change over time, but only if ambitious companies insist on pursuing such solutions, and consequently push market development towards more sustainable technology and products.
