When done right, they can truly change the game. This week we are in #Amsterdam, developing a new training program for the employer branding and recruitment teams at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) - "Journey Mapping Training". It was great to bring our design thinking and service design expertise, and extensive experience in building maps to a crowd that directly engages candidates and is responsible for hiring the right people. I loved this workshop and I'm excited to see how these methods can change the experiences for both recruiters and candidates. #designthinking #innovation #employerbranding

What separates the Top 5 from the Top 25 in tennis? It's not necessarily skill, training, or talent. At this level, everyone has those in abundance. The difference lies in mental toughness and a 5 second pep talk 😉. Yes, it's a 🧠mental game. They all have this inner voice acting as a personal cheerleader. After each hit, it says: "You got this! You love this game! You are doing amazing! You are so ready for this!" For top tennis players, these internal affirmations are a natural response. They fuel confidence and maintain composure under pressure. Why not leverage the 5 second pep talk? --------------------------------------------- If you are feeling overwhelmed by a complex challenge at work, here's how to channel your inner tennis champion: Step 1: Just Begin. Don't get paralyzed by the unknown. Simply take the first step, no matter how small. Step 2: Celebrate Every Win (Big or Small). After completing each task or making progress, give yourself a mental high-five! "You got this! You love this challenge! You're rocking it with all your skills, expertise, and years of experience! Now is your moment to shine! Wow, you're so clever!" Step 3: Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. Make these positive affirmations a habit. The more you train your mind, the stronger your mental game becomes, both on the court and in the conference room.
