This morning, for the first time since I took the paper route 40 years ago, I woke up on a Monday without being gainfully employed. After 10 wonderful, fulfilling years with Citrix, I decided it was time to take a break. I'm going to spend some time reflecting, recharging, and deciding what I want to do with the last big push of my career. I wouldn't change the last 10+ years for anything. I've been blessed with great customers, great leaders, and great teammates during my time at Citrix. It would be impossible to name them all, but I want to call out a few. Mike Hirsch, Heidi West, Craig Stilwell, thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity. I'm forever grateful. Graham Frazer, Jessie Brenneman, Brad Richards - you all picked up where your predecessor left off in being the best Directors at Citrix. It was a pleasure working for each of you. Tom Holland and Dan Parascandola, over 9 years ago, we moved into your newly formed Enterprise organization. You are two of the best executive sales leaders I've had the privilege to work under. I learned from you every day. Jeff Basciano, we didn't work together too long, but your approach and guidance over the last 18 months shows your mastery in executive sales. Finally, my core teammates over those years - Geremy Meyers, Jerry Shea, Daniel Ruggiero, Chris Mitchell, Brent Graeber - I had an All Star team, and we did great things together, all with the best interests of our customers in mind. I'm looking forward to disconnecting from work and connecting more closely with my family. Most importantly, I'm looking forward to coming back stronger than ever after the time away. I don't know what my next move will be, but I hope it's as rewarding and fulfilling as my last 10 years. Thank you Citrix!
My man! I'm struggling for words, so I will lean on Joe Esposito's 1984 banger from The Karate Kid until we meet again. Kiai! That you gotta hang tough to make it History repeats itself Try and you'll succeed Never doubt that you're the one And you can have your dreams [Chorus] You're the best around Nothing's gonna ever keep you down You're the best around Nothing's gonna ever keep you down You're the best around Nothing's gonna ever keep you down
Good for you Damon for taking a break - I am sure you will continue to do great things.
Damon Cahill I could write a book. You are a good man, a great father (your wife told me so), a fantastic friend and an amazing customer advocate. If I was to ask my son to model his sales career after anyone it would be you. I am blessed to have worked with you. You’re ethics, character and work ethic are a gift to the people you work with. God bless you and your family and thank you for having my back for so many years.
Enjoy your well deserved time off!
Very cool Damon Cahill. I'm in desperate need of salespeople, so when you are ready to get back in the pool, hit me up 😎... Congrats on taking some time man.. Very deserved!
I’ve worked with many Citrix partners over the years and you were one of the best. Good luck in your future endeavors.
These responses, well wishes, job opportunities and testimonials are a real tribute to how awesome you are to work with. I too took time off after Citrix to spend time with family. A break and time to reset is always worthwhile. You were amazing to work with and I admired your support of new ideas. All the best, Damon.
Damon you are one of the best. It was a pleasure working with you at Citrix. Here’s to the next chapter 🥂
Damon you will do great no matter what path you choose! All the best!!!
