Why I still mow our lawn, landscape and fix our sprinklers, even though it costs me about $500 an hour…. Between my… current employment, investment opportunities, and advising startups, My time is worth about $500 dollars an hour. However, I will always make time to work alongside my kids. Here’s why… -getting our hands dirty together creates memories, -discussing life lessons in natural ways sticks, -Letting them struggle in a safe environment is powerful, Money can buy many things, but money cannot buy…. -Important life lessons, -Quality time with my kids, -Instilling good work ethic through example, -Discussing values and principles that are timeless. -Plus, the experiences of spraying water on each other while we work together never gets old. These types of experiences are priceless. Whether your time is worth $10 per hour, or, 1k per hour, we can prioritize time with our loved ones.  Heritage over inheritance, value creation over wealth accumulation, joyful play over perfection. These small moments will define our legacy, let’s be intentional what we leave for our loved ones. How do you like to spend time with loved ones?

Great example. Could you come to my house with the kids and fix my irrigation system? I'll buy lunch. 😉

Great message, but let's be honest...your wife makes you mow the lawn 😁 --just kidding. Spending some time working with your kids is the best place to spend time.

I read an article recently about self esteem which stated the deciding factor in whether or not a child has good esteem is based on them learning to work when they were young.

I love doing yard work! Just replaced two sprinkler heads this week. One was with my 18 year old daughter. When I mow the lawn it's usually with my 12 yr old by my side. Great insight!

I love this! Nothing is worth more than the day-to-day interactions with loved ones. Those memories can last a lifetime.
