Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a significant milestone in American history marking the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is a time for reflection, education, and action. As we honor the resilience and contributions of the Black community, let’s also commit to fostering equality and justice in our workplaces and communities. Let’s honor this historic day by educating ourselves, supporting Black-owned businesses, and standing up for justice and equality. Together, we can build a future where freedom truly means freedom for everyone. In observance of Juneteenth, the Association Forum office is closed. #WeAreForum #Juneteenth #WelcomingAF
