Update: Saturday 02/12/23 Up just after 5:00 AM for breakfast and some stretches before setting out to my starting point at Fradley Junction. Warm up is tough when it’s -4° and the ground has a covering of snow and ice, and my head torch has been left at home... Do I now need a checklist for my checklist?  Add to the mix two roads which have been closed and you start to get a feel for how the day started. No idea how night mode works on my phone, so I'm sorry about the blank screen but you get the idea from the audio. I managed the 4 mile warm up walk in under the hour which is my target time. Then completed the 12.1 mile run with a bit of help from Ibu Profen in under two hours. A couple of issues are being worked on this week so hopefully less pain. Lessons learned are to check the checklist and learn how to use the camera's night mode. https://lnkd.in/eSzBeHfx

So, another week, another nugget! 🤔 Now, this may have just been me, but identifying a fire door is not as you may think... but let me explain. 😱 Panic Vs Fire 🔥 I always assumed that every door which had a 'panic bar' installed (those handles which you are always told set of the alarms) was a fire door, but that's actually not the case.   Panic bars are just one component of a wide range of escape hardware, typically found on panic exit doors rather than 'fire doors'.   The key difference between the two: 🚪 Panic exit doors allow for safe and quick access out of a building 🚪 Fire doors help prevent the spread of fire.   A common way of identifying a fire door is the signage on the door 🔥 There you have it, every day is a school day!
