Delivering improved patient outcomes with SWAT Impact by Praxis—moving knowledge into action A Praxis-led tool is helping guide practitioners in assessing a patient in order to give as accurate a diagnosis and prognosis as possible. The Standing and Walking Assessment Tool (SWAT) helps health practitioners target therapies to help those with incomplete spinal cord injury (SCI). This means that care decisions on exercise, intervention, and mobility aids are made to best help an individual with SCI achieve greater independence. It also helps set up realistic targets for therapeutic interventions and adds to research into walking post SCI. “…SWAT is a valid and responsive approach to the measurement of standing and walking ability during sub-acute SCI.” https://lnkd.in/giang6jR
